How many Pokémons do you save?

Hi,

When I'm botting I don't care about getting a lot of Weedle, Pidgey and Caterpies to Evolve to get XP since I get a lot from botting alone. But how many pokémons do you save for each class? I have the bot set to "keep 3 best with cp and iv" but I don't know if that is the way to go? What do you guys do to get the best pokémons out there?

I usually do two with best IV. Anything over 90% I evolve, and if the evolved Pokemon's moveset is good then I favorite it! Also check Pokemon GO Tiers for Pokemon, there you can find the strongest ones in the game; Dragonite, Snorlax, Lapras, Arcanine, etc.

I litterally have no clue when to evolve and when to power up and which pokemon to go with first? I just know I have 250 pokemons now and now more room and nearly 400k stardust, so I think I have to power up something and get rid of some pokemons?

Once you turn on the bot, next to the start button you'll be able to see a list of your Pokemon, go through that list and anything above 90% IV, check the box next to their name, and once you've selected each one, click the button that saves Bulk IV rename. The bot will rename each one of the pokemon you've selected. These are the ones that matter the most. The higher the IV %(closest to 100%) the better stats the Pokemon will have based on your level. So say you want the strongest one possible. Evolve the Pokemon that have the higher IV %. Check if the Evolved Pokemon's moveset has the highest DPS, and if it does, go ahead and power up that Pokemon. The strongest Pokemon in the game right now are the ones I mentioned above, so ideally you want to get those. Since they get more CP/level everytime you power them up.

Okay, you are mentioning a lot of things a pokemon rookie like me doesn't understand :D

First of all, I can't see the list of my pokemons, but only the list of the pokemons the bot collects while active? I also can't seem to see the Bulk IV rename button? Sure we are talking about the same Bot? :D I can only see "Start" and "Settings" but I can't enter Settings while the bot is running.

And how do I see/know where the 90% and above IV is? I barely know what IV means lol.

I decided to keep everything and sort it out by manually on a different app.

Sorry, once the bot is active you will see the My Pokemon button. Once you hit the button your list of your Pokemon that you have will come up along with there stats/IV%. Just check the column under IV and it will show the number. IV = Individual Values, hidden values that determines a Pokemon's strength/defense. Included in the bot is a calculator that determines all of that for you already. Make sure to check the box of the Pokemon you want before you rename it, otherwise it won't go through!

Ahh I had an old version of the bot, sorry!

So now I see the list and I want to check everything above 90%? So CP doesn't matter?

How about the "Ignore list"? Should I select some pokemons there to ensure they won't get transfered?

Then you say I have to Evolve the pokemon that have higher IV %? But shouldn't I rename those?
Or do you mean, when you save the ones with 90% IV % and better you evolve them afterwards?

And how do I check the moveset and and DPS before power up?

Sorry about all the questions but trying to learn :D

CP doesn't matter. The higher the IV%, the more CP the Pokemon will have once you fully power it up. For the ignore list, I selected the Pokemon that are the strongest in the game. If you want, for the settings for transferring make sure to keep it as "Transfer all except for two/three with the highest IV," that way you have more options when evolving. Typically what I do, once I have a Pokemon with 95%IV+ I'll rename it, and then favorite it so the bot doesn't transfer it. Renaming it just so you know which Pokemon has the higher IV%. For the moveset, you just click on the Pokemon(on your phone) and you'll see the Pokemon's moves. I'm not sure if you can post links, but you can just google "Pokemon GO Moveset DPS," and click the first link. It will have all of the Pokemon and their strongest moves. So to simplify things here's the order you do it.

1. Make sure Pokemon has 90%IV+, anything closer to 100% the better.
2. Once you evolve the Pokemon check the moveset, if it has the strongest moves, go ahead and power it up. Otherwise, repeat step 1.
3. Fully power it up.

The higher the level you are, the higher CP your Pokemon will get. So even if you max out the Pokemon's level, when you level up, you can power it up again. (Until you hit level 40, then it caps out, trainer's max level at the moment)

Okay I see. I have the settings "Transfer all and keep the 2 best with highest IV" and then in the Ignore List I have selected: Charizad, Mewto, Dragonite, Mew, Moltres, Snorlax, Zapdos, Lapras, Articuno, Gyrados (dunno if it's overkill?).

I have selected all my pokemons so far with 90+ IV in the list and renamed them. Then I later on I log on the game from my phone and check out their moveset. If I have a pokemon with 90+ IV with the moveset from the "Pokemon GO Moveset DPS" list I should evolve it?

I just caught a Voltorb with IV 96 but it as only CP 428 and I am currently level 26? Is that worth saving and evolve to Electrode even if it's so low CP? And how if I evolve it to a bad Electrode? I just transfer it?

Because I also have a Venomoth with IV 93 with 195 CP and since I can't evolve that, should I start power up a pokemon with only 195 CP?

What if I can't evolve it, if I catch a pokemon e.g Poliwrath that can't be evolvet should I then only power it up if it has good IV and moveset, and if it's below 90 IV and bad moveset if Just transfer it or?

And btw. what should I do with all the pokemons I have which are below 90 IV? Just transfer them too, or?

Really hope you can help me :)

Transfer all Pokemon that are under 90% IV. Or you can just keep them, the bot will transfer them if you get a better one.

You should also add the Pokemon that are the basic evolutions, Dratini, Dragonair, Growlithe, etc.

For your 1st question the only Pokemon you should evolve are the Pokemon in the S Tier list. Google "Pokemon Go Tier List," your first link. Everything else will not be as strong as the Pokemon listed at the top, unless you want to power them up for fun, then that's fine too. Once you check your phone if the Pokemon have 90%+IV, you may evolve them. The only time you will worry about the moveset is the Final Evolution, since they are randomized when you evolve them.

Example 1: Growlithe 90%IV, evolve him. If Arcanine has move Bite, and Fireblast (his strongest moves), power him up.
Example 2: Growlithe 90%IV, evolve him. If Arcanine has Bite, and Flamethrower, do not power him up. DPS is weaker on Flamethrower than Fireblast. Repeat until you have Arcanine with Bite, and Fireblast.

For your 2nd question regarding Voltorb, if you don't care about the Pokemon Tier's and just want to have every pokemon at their highest potential. You may evolve Voltorb and if Electrode has his best moveset, go ahead and power him up. Even if they are low CP the only thing that matters is the IV%. Honestly it's just a waste of Stardust since they aren't one of the strongest pokemon in the game.

Venomoth, it would be the same situation as Voltorb/Electrode, high IV, best moveset, power it up if you like. They are both under the B-Tier.

Poliwrath, is in the S-Tier, if it has 90%+IV, + best moveset. Power it up, will be one of the strongest in game.

You want the strongest Pokemon in game?

1. S-Tier Pokemon
2. Best IV (closest to 100%)
3. Best moveset with Final Evolution
4. Power up.

Otherwise if you just want the strongest for your Pokemon in general. Just have highest IV%, best moveset with final evolution and power up.

-Edit-
The higher level you are, the stronger your Pokemon can become. Also say you have a high IV% pokemon, + high cp, it would be better to have this, that way you won't spend as much Stardust leveling them up.

Really appreciate your time for answering me. Thank you!

So I am just writing back to sum things up and to see if I understand it correctly.

First of all, you say I should also add basic evolutions like Dratini, Dragonair etc. to the Ignore List? I get that now. I should add ALL of the pokemons of the S list including the pokemons in their basic evolution so I have a chance to evolve them too? E.g. When Poliwrath is the final evolution pokemon on the S list I also want to add Poliwag and Poliwhirl to the ignore list to have a chance to evolve them to Poliwrath also? Right?
But why even add pokemons to the Ignore List when I have choosen to keep the 2-3 of each pokemon with highest IV? Or does it work that way that it saves more than 2-3 of each pokemon that is added to the ignore list?

So if I have a Growlithe with really bad IV I don't care about that, because it will change again when I evolve to Arcanine?
If the Arcanine have Bite and Fireblast I power him up, but if he doesn't I don't power him up, but I then do what with that "bad" Arcanine? I transfer it or what do you mean with repeat?

I don't understand what to do with final evo pokemons if they are bad. I just evolved a magikarp to a Gyarados but it had Dragon Breath and Twister which not are the best, so do I transfer or what do I do?

I think I get it now. If I catch a Venomoth (which is the final evo) with 90%+IV I also check his moveset. If they are good I power it up and if they are bad I, then what? Transfer it?

But I get what you mean with the S list and it's a waste to focus on the Venomoth for example. I can do that when I have the S list finished :D But again it's also fun to say I have catched 'em all, isn't it? ;)

1st question; it will save more than 2-3, giving you more options to evolve just in case you don't get the right moveset.

2nd question; You would transfer it. About the IV question with Growlithe, I don't think the IV changes when you evolve it, so make sure to keep the IV over 90% when you evolve the first time, it will only change the moveset when evolving.(I'm not sure actually I"ll probably try evolving a Pokemon and seeing if the IV changes when evolving, but just incase just evolve with Pokemon over 90%IV), and yes you would transfer the Arcanine if he does not have Bite, Fireblast.

3rd question; Yes, you would transfer it(unless you don't have an extra, I would keep it just for funsies).

Looks like you got everything, happy botting/hunting!

*I'm also the same way, I want to catch them all too! Good luck.

Yeah, sorry I meant if I have a Growlithe with bad moveset I don't care because it will change in the evolution. But you told me that now so it's all good :)

And with final evo pokemons if they have bad moveset? I just evolved a Magikarp to a Gyarados but it had Dragon Breath and Twister which not are the best, so do I transfer it? Or as you say keep it for fun until I have the best one, but I don't want to power it up?

So, should I go for catching them all, or should I go for the S List? What do you think? :D

I would just keep them just to have them.

Also it's up to you! I went for S List first just to have the strongest Pokemon in game to take over gyms for the daily coin rewards. Now I'm currently trying to catch them all.

So if I get a Growlithe that's IV 100 should I level his CP max then evolve him? Cause I pretty sure I evolved a 100 IV Growlithe to a Aransomething and it's IV was 61 after the evolution.

After doing some research, supposedly the IV stays the same after evolution. There's always tools you can use here;
