How many of those banned on 18/12/2012 first downloaded microsoft security essentials version 2.0 on account of the reported trojan? (It has a new real-time service automatically enabled Nissrc.exe which can inspect for suspicious progams and communicate with other programs introduced in August 2012 to MSE v 2.0.)

  2. No, I did not download or install MSE v 2.0 and was banned. (Or never botted since installing and was banned).

If you vote #3, please post a response to confirm your forum name... just to see it is not one of the few I am suspicous of... no offense meant to any individual though!

wow, uselesness of polls reached a whole new level!

I think it is relevant as although I chose answer 1 myself, I also had accounts that did not bot (or even log into the game on since downloading since I think they may be monitoring what we do when the game is closed as well) ; so these accounts which were inactive since when I downloaded WSEv2, and uninstalling other antivirus programs, as instructed by WSE 2.0, were exclusively not banned. Maybe they just missed a mass detection event, but I think it warrants inquiry to the community. No one chose answer 3 yet, and I find that interesting as well, but regardless if you see me for a "tin-foil hatter" or even just an "aluminum foil hatter wannabe"--- please answer honestly so we can get some accurate data!

(edit- tin foil upgrade found: this response solicates blizzard employees to vote 3 unfortunately.)

Someone trolling or willing to post that they voted option #3?

/e to stop the service you can disable it in settings>>real-time protection in case anyone else has a shiny hat on

No way, man. I ate a BLT with tater tots, drank 0.834 of a can of Coca Cola. I walked around my chair 3 times before sitting down, and opened notepad twice.

It's the foolproof way to avoid bans.

might you be the one who chose number 3 then? or is this a free bump

well lets say you're right... now you have the recipe to avoid bans in the future and nobody else does (cause nobody believes you)

that has to be a good thing yeah?

it could very well. thank you for pointing that out! perhaps it was u that voted number 3, since you're so clever? =) [just saying.. ofc if it isn't no harm meant]

To the 10 that have been banned but not dowloaded it do you perhaps have the process running Niscrs.exe, if you select to see all users processes in task manager, perhaps from a windows update, or if it is no, are you by chance using windows xp?
