How many hours a day can you get away with doing legion gathering?

Unless you do it manually, there is no way where you're guaranteed not to be banned.
A friend of mine has been fishbotting and herbbotting like twice a month for 1 hour at the time. Haven't been caught in any banwaves recently, and has never been banned actually.
I'd say go suicide or there's no point.

I'm doing about 16 hours per day (while I'm sleeping + working), except weekends, outside those times I was at my computer and didn't run bots.
I have had my only bot up for a week or 10 days now, no problems, just added second bot which has been running for a few days, no problems there either. I'm thinking about expanding to 24/7. If I'm going 16 hours it's already quite a bit per day so getting it to 24/7 should not make it more dangerous.

Depends on what 16 hours of the day you're botting though.

If we knew this, noone would ever get banned for gathering...
Are you at least switching it up or just the same profile?
How does that matter? Or you are aiming at hours when personal gm trips to farming areas happen after them being reported (aka their work hours)?
Well the usual time people sleep/work
Night + mornings/afternoons. I'd say I bot between 10pm until 6pm. So between 16-20 hours per day.
I'm not currently switching profiles. The other bot is still not 110 so no Starlight Rose farming yet. I will let it do one more day and then get to lvl 110 and then switch Foxflower/Starlight Rose every second day between them.
