How many bots on the same IP/Pc?

Hey guys!

I am sure some of you have expierienced the following:

All your accounts geht Banned the same time, doing the diffrent things and even may not be related in any way.

This has happend to me as well and was the reason i stopped botting a year ago after 16/16 got banned.

My question is, how do i protect myself against something like that happening again? Currently i am running 6 wod bots and i wonder how far i can go. (Maybe a VPN?)

I am Looking for advice and general input, thanks guys

what were your 16 bots doing when they were all banned?

A few were offline 1 was just for transfering gold some Were grinding for gold some were in a dungeon and others farming herbs/ore im mop. I was running them on two pc's. Reading trough the ban section others have expierienced that as well... No appealing possible

personal experience would suggest your bans were the result of a full investigation. bots 3, 5, 11, 13 were all reported, the gm handling the reports remembers seeing a name or two similiar on the last couple report tickets. 'oh shit, we got a farm' calls second gm investigator over, he agrees a full investigation should be initiated. first gm sends the info down the line to the 'full investigation team' team digs in and connects the dots, mail recipient, farm time, ip, whatever your tinfoil hat can think up, and BAM your toons go up on the list of peeps to ban. could be that day, could be a week later. it maybe took 10 days for the reports to trickle in and be connected by the first gm.

then, if the gm investigator wants to be a dick, sees you got a sub, he dates the ban for the day after your sub renews [yes, it happens] and BAM you pay and get banned a couple hours later.

WARNING-this is totally based on my personal experience and close friends stories. much like you being drunk and swearing your Aunt Carol blew that dude at the picnic.

Thanks for your point of view! Seems like you cant really protect yourself Form something like that rather then just dont do it excessivly or develop a network so complex a team of gms cant figure it out and lets hope for lazy GM s

Ill read into the whole VPN thing anyways always wanted to get one

i wouldnt run more than a team per ip/computer that's all im sayin brah
