How likely is it to get banned from HS when you play ranked games?

I'm wondering, I've spent about 500 euro's on card packs and it would be a shamy if i run the bot for a few matches and end up being banned =P

thanks

At some point you will get banned. Hopefully it's after you are bored of playing.

With the current state of hearthbuddy it is very likely you will get banned eventually.

It kinda makes sense if we compare a 24/7 botter against a several/7-10 hours botter, the chance of getting banned is quite higher the longer you bot ofc. Bot smart, play smart

The idea that there is a 'smart' and/or 'safe' way to bot is a myth. Many players have botted 24/7 for weeks/months without penalty while others who took extreme measures of precaution (always monitoring the bot, switching decks, simulating 'breaks' in play, &c.) have been banned within a month. From what the evidence shows, your ban is purely based upon player reporting. Therefore, it's all a matter of a player a) reconizing you as a bot (which isn't very hard) and b) taking the effort to actually report you.

Sure, if you bot 24/7 you will run into more players per day and therefore have a slightly higher chance of getting reported, but lessening the bot's run time or staggering your bot's schedule will do little to actually lower the chances of being reported. Players are getting more and more aware of how to spot the bot. It's moving too predictably right now. The only thing that might significantly lower your chances of being banned is to keep your bot at the lower ranks -- players there generally aren't as aware or skilled (hello, iPad casuals) and won't as easily notice the bot. You also will run into more bots around rank 20, and we all know they won't report you. :]

Anyways, to the OP: If you don't want to lose money, don't bot. Keep in mind that it can take a very long time for Blizzard to actually ban you -- even if you bot just for a few days you might find your account banned months later. I've spent waaaay too much money on my account and somehow have avoided being banned up until now, but it's still not safe for me to assume that my account is safe. I've been botting sporadically since November of 2014. But yeah, I'm at a point where I just don't care what happens to the account -- the game is quite boring and I certainly won't be bothered to actually farm things like golden portraits. Best of luck with whatever you decide.
