How is Buddystore charging so much ok? "Constructive Critisism", Dont h8 m8

Hey everybody in the honorbuddy community. Ive been botting on the low since Cata. Nothing big, just getting chars to max level, and getting them in gear. Never gathered because it seemed to risky.
I wanna know how charging 25€ for a botbase like "Millz, BGFarmer - An Advanced Battleground Bot Base" is okay. Kinda like DLC, and trust me, first of all i tried the trial and good lord it was an improvement. but still though. Already paying 25€ for the standard software and then another 25€ just to get a pvp bot base? I Get it because it ups the lust to create creative content but still though. In the end i understand the Buddystore but i also think prices are unfair. Im sure if people made them cheaper, they would sell way more copies anyway. Thats all peeps. Prices are set by the developer and the HB team has no say over what price a dev can sell an item at.

That being said, if you have an issue with it, contact the dev with your concerns.

I'm not a fan of the pricing myself, I feel it points out the glaring inadequacies of the bot, especially bgbuddy. But I also realize there's not much I can do other than hoping the HB team gets their act together and actually improves their extremely out-of-date botbases.
 
As Millz has stated in the past for BGFarmer. He does not want everyone using it, so that it becomes a bot train like bgbuddy. Hence his pricing level.

1. It's nothing like DLC, it's user generated content.

Your argument is like stating that because you bought a car, it's not okay that people sell aftermarket parts that are better than the stock ones.

It's also completely ridiculous, because some of the developers who are selling their content for "unfair prices" have put thousands of hours into these projects and are getting peanuts from the people who buy them. Most of the highly priced content is amazing, some of it even performs at a level previously thought to be out of the scope of what the platform was capable of. They're taking an alright platform, Honorbuddy, and turning it into a highly efficient advanced piece of software.

If you're going to complain about something, complain that the Honorbuddy team doesn't give these people full time employment to make the platform better.
 
It's not unreasonable at all considering the amount of time developers put into the project itself, updating the project and support for the users. You arent forced to buy anything in the Buddy Store. It's for people that don't mind spending more money to optimize their botting. What youre saying is like you need a car to get you from point A to point B, so you buy a Ford, but now you realize a Ferrari would be better, only thing wrong with it is the price. HB is doing the job just fine.

And someone beat me to it with a car analogy, omg copy pasterino! Q_Q

Fact is, before the store came in the routines and botbases were already paid and most of it had/have a free version which you can enjoy to some extent, the only difference was that they could not publish and sell their work directly in the forums and had to do that thru PM's and the such. Now that HB accepted that and made a way for people to easily obtain those routine is that people are crying over prices of things.

There was even private sites(and some still exist) that were selling private profiles and plugins at some point but most of you here didn't even know about it and still don't.

HB is a platform(and a lot of people don't understand it) that allows you develop things on top of it, which by default the HB team also went ahead and gave you free(botbase and profile) options, I don't think half of the people here understand the potential of what you can do with a platform such as this one.
 
Millz is expensive but worth IT. Spegeli should get banned for exploiting the buddystore - end of Story, biggest retard of honorbuddy
 
You can make way over 25€/day with free profiles and then you can happily buy this "overpriced" product :rolleyes:

I have no knowledge of coding and shit and i am pretty sure that 20-30 bucks for a botbase or something isnt too much, IF its great work and it sure took time to code it. But for example our beloved Spegeli Epvper on here with his 500 bucks and now 150 i believe(?) questing profiles - that is hilarious. But the majority of the prices seems to be ok - at least in my eyes. Just pls dont give us strange and stupid reasons for the pricing..

Hey I don't give a crap what you think. I am just stating what Millz has said in the past. If you don't like it, then don't buy it. Not my problem that you don't like it and want to waaah waaah about it. Would you like some cheese with the whining you are doing?
 
HB store is capitalism at its finest, community devs develop bots/profiles/etc. that the core devs don't have the time or expertise to, and sell it at the price that they determine, based on how many ppl buy and the usefulness of it, etc. If you don't have the money, or don't think its worth the price, don't buy it. Meanwhile people who do want to invest in premium stuff will buy. Its that simple.
 
At first I was kinda upset about the buddystore in general, and of course the prices... But now, the more I read about it from community devs and other posters, the more cool I am with it.

The community devs have some amazing talent (and of course the HB devs :p ), so i believe it is about time they get paid for their efforts and the countless hours they put into their products. The buddystore makes that easy for them. It gives them motivation to continue to develop more stuff, and imo, make the HB community grow even larger.

So everybody just chill about it. :cool:
 
I agree some prices are abit to high..

But u name BGfarmer and its 100% worth the money..

Value is determined by each user so all opinions are fine and fair.
The Buddy store is fine, great way to hide code that has been wide open in the past.
Closing off of the community development style that happened in the past is sad though.

Viva free enterprise


(I have paid routines by the by and shall purchase more in future if worth the price)

I find the pricing in Buddystore to be quite fair, for many of the reasons stated above. Let me add one more thing: time is money. The amount of time saved killing mobs, and accomplishing tasks with the bots, the personal pride in getting things done quickly, the reduced stress in doing unpleasant tasks, the increased enjoyment of the game when things are smooth and success is assured -- all of these things are valuable, in my opinion.

A few Euros spent on solid, working routines in which the developers have invested a great deal of time is not a big price to pay. It is also a good marketing model; people are happy to pay for premium stuff and as long as there is a choice, the community is well served. We can put our money where we get the most benefit. If the premium options in the Buddystore don't provide the value you seek, the developers of the free stuff would be happy to have your support. And it wouldn't hurt to buy them a coffee from time to time when you can afford it.

all those things were there wayyyy before buddystore

i bought millz routines and the BG farmer long time ago and the BG farmer and the routines of him are worth the price
