How I Have Lost Over 2 Million Gold

So up until late January, I had been bottling 2-3 farmers all of Cataclysm. I had been storing my gold in a guild bank. I used the invitation plugins to grow my guild, it had eventually reached level 25 with about 300 semi-active members.

Along with around 700,000 liquid gold, I had all sorts of TCG mounts, rare items for transmutation (including several Teebu's). There were also 6 tabs of materials at any time. My bank alt was the Guild Master, and the boys were the only officers.

At the end of January, I had to take a leave from the game during an emergency. I was not able to use the game to remove my wealth or kick out everyone from the guild. You can probably figure out what happened after that...

When I logged into the game yesterday for the first time since then, all of my rooms were removed from the guild and it now belongs to some randomly invited member. I won't talk to a GM, that won't help. I got no response from the new Guild Master.

Don't be a dumb ass like me,

Damn that really sucks. I'd ask a GM anyway.
I believe they changed this so that only the top 3 ranks in the guild can overthrow the GM. If you know you have to leave, be sure to demote everyone.

Call Blizz and explain that you where unable to play due to some sort of family problem and they should restore for you :)

Well, I suppose there is always a chance, Blizzard has always been reasonable to me.

I'll give it a whirl and see how it goes.
