How hard is it to bot a mage ?

Well as the title says it all how hard is it bot a mage to 85, will it die loads or does a mage get stronger at a certain level ?

level 85 mage... and it's easy.... I can't remember what spec I leveled in.. I think it was fire.... or something but yeah.

For leveling, I use Kicks profile / Singular cc(works very well surprisingly vs others) / fire spec....very fast and efficient.

Pvp, cc is preference, but Amplify is pretty good.

The only problems with botting bgs ive had ever are with healers really... one of the biggest is when everyone dies, and they just run to the graveyard lolol.

Tried leveling as arcane for a bit, but frost is just easier, even with frost nova turned off I took less damage in general for some reason. Nearing 80 as we speak.

It dies toooooooons, using eather singular or amplify... For me only 80-85 worked well as a mage, prior to 60 was a nightmare

Tried leveling a mage.. most of it's time was spent running back to it's corpse.

I found buying unmerged WoW accounts, and using SoR on them was much easier.. lvl 80,all expansions for 25 bucks US, 15 in EU?

Have u found Singular better for leveling then Amplify?

I use amplify and just did 60-80 without many deaths, full boa gear though, and questing. Made it used glyphed frost armor in frost spec though to reduce dmg and keep mana up.

I just leveled my SoR mage. I did it fire because that was always the leveling spec. I can tell you this, DO NOT LEVEL FIRE. It's a killhouse. Level with ice, the mobs die a little slower but you won't die nearly as much. After doing a Pally, a Hunter, a DK, a Rogue, a Shaman (to 72 so far), and a priest I found the mage the slowest botting. The priest is right behind it. I think that would have been different if I went ice.

I agree with the OP, $25 for a SoR account is the way to go. Even if you want to xfer it to your main account and pay $50 total its worth it. 5 levels > 85 imo.
