How exactly does the x Pokemon/ 24 hours limitation works?

Hey there,
yesterday i let the bot run an account from 12pm to 6pm and it caught ~8xx Pokemon during that time.
Today at 9am i startet the account again and after 1xx Pokemon all the Pokemon fled and i get that 12 hours pausing message from the bot... thats the case when you caught too many pokemon within 24hours right?

Since i get that messages from time to time i thought its time to understand how exactly that limitation works and what breaks i need to take.

Lets say an account is running from 2pm to 9pm and than i stop botting... did i have to wait than for 9pm the next day to farm the max amount of possible pokemon in 24 hours?

Dear Chris,
Whats your settings (pokemon per hour set on bot) if you want to be safe just put in the bot settings to stop catching any pokemons if pokemon caught 45 last hour! This is my advise to you! I personally let the bot run 8-12 hours prox the day and i do 5 hours break or more and run the bot again!

Thanks for your answer and i will try this setting in future!... until now i set 150 Pokemon/Hour as limit

for safe do 1k pokestops limit and 500 per day limit pookemon
