I have viewed the video and saw the basics of it.

But I am talking about creating one from scratch (the guy in the video looked like he had one going already). I don't understand how hotspots are entered into the xml files, nor vendors, mailboxes, training, quests, etc.

I'd love to take a stab at loremaster, and while I know there are some starts out there, I would actually like to follow through and finish it so I hope I can get some assistance here and get started soon.

Thanks

Wesker

questing is not as complex as everyone makes it out to be

the issue w/ loremaster is that you'll have to write a lot of vehicle behaviors... which is the difficult part

to start a questing profile - start from level 5 (level 1-5's are stupid) and go from there

don't know what to do? look at my 5-12 profiles and try to do yours from scratch

I will take a look at that when I get home today. How about adding coordinates and what not in the xml file as well? Any advice you can offer on writing vehicle behaviors ?

I started looking at them. I saw how your 5-12 profile and other profiles in general start. My question is how is in viewable in xml format?

I started creating a file in notepad, went to save as then typed in profile.xml, it appears to be an xml file on the surface, but when i go to double click it to open it and view it such as i do with your profile ... it doesn't even open in internet explorer. Is there something I am doing wrong here ? Something simple I am missing?

You can just copy-paste profile that already in xml extension and open it in notepad then remove everything and do your profile
Also i recommend ZapRecorder for writing Hotspots, personally i use blackspot option to write down waypoints and then i just use replace option in note pad.( Blackspot=>Hotspot or Blackspot=>RunTo etc.)

It is very simple. There is a shared format between basically all profiles. Use ZapRecorder to get your coords. Check out the honorbuddy wiki for tons of information.

Will do some research through the existing profiles over the next week or so and see which quests are in the profiles ..., might not be such a huge undertaking after all, at least we can hope :)
