How does mixed mode work?

I want to level from 80-85 while levelling herb and mining.
How do I do that? Do I just use Kicks profile and enbaly herbing and mining, or do I have to download a plugin?
Also, how does the bot know that I want to farm materials, and not do a level/BG mixed mode?

Just use gatherbuddy and you'll gain xp while gathering?

Mixed mode allows you to run Questing/Grinding while also running BGBuddy or Dungeonbuddy.

Under the questing options you can enable ground mount farming mode.

In the settings menu there is an option to enable 'Mining/Herbing/Skinning'. This will kinda 'do it as you go' rather than following a specific path'.
