How does a new reset work with the bot?

I how does on average will it take to release a new bot to start botting after a update?

Do expansions wreck most plugins?

1) No ETA, maybe 2weeks+
2) They do, usually because new features gets added, but on PoE GGG tends to release shit that needs to get improved, which means lot of things could change.

They said they were trying to resolve most of the bullshit issues on a dev note, so I guess pushedx will need some coffee :D

thanks tonyx, just curious tho, how long did it take to release a working exilebot after the december reset?

There's a big difference between updating offsets, and updating offsets to work without breaking the current API.

I'll do a post as the update comes closer detailing what will happen and the expected downtime. I do expect at minimal several weeks of updating required, quite possibly even up to a month depending on how drastic the game changes and if we get any new sneaky surprises to deal with.

We don't rush out updates, ever, so I won't do a Beta for people to test with unless I'm 100% satisfied with the current state of the bot. Since massive updates like these also bring about a lot of new client issues that ggg deploys countless patches for the first few weeks, it's always better to just wait things out to be safe and not waste time, since each client change is treated the same, no matter what the patch notes say (and each client change is checked for surprises).

Users of course will be given full compensation for the downtime that occurs.
