How do you prevent bans?

I have seen some guides out there but I would like to know how people personally prevent bans. Alot of people say they use a seperate account with its own guild and send all the loot to them.

If using a seperate account to actually do the gold selling will they still track where the items or gold came from on that character? meaning if the lvl 1 account gets banned will they track the farming account and ban it also?

I have a separate guild for my botting account, and been botting almost 1 year now, (not including wowbreaks)

I havent had a ban/temp ban etc. I bot for 8-10 hrs a day at various times, keep it mixed up, I dont like patterns.

Thats the way I play on my main, no pattern to it at all, thus I do the same with bots. I use the Ringo Logout Plugin and set all bots to random logout times too, no 2 are run the same way.

Don't bot. I heard it works really really good to avoid bans.

HA guess i should read the poll before posting, didnt know thread was about goldselling yeah i only sell gold to people i know and its easy to get away with it, they were leveling me!
