I just recently started botting. I got honorbuddy on saturday and already have an 85 druid. My question is how do you guys set up your accounts on your battlenet? I had bought wow and all the expansions for a friend a couple years ago and he never used it so he gave me the account and this is what I am botting with.

I noticed Gamestop is having a special of wow and all the expansions for $20.00 (US, 5 for vanilla/bc battle chest, 5 Wotlk, 10 for Cata). I was thinking about starting to botting on another account and doing the recruit a friend and I thought I'd ask how this would work. If I have 2 accounts on a battle net and have all my mains and whatnot on account 1 and choose to bot on account 2 what would happen to account 1 if account 2 was caught botting?

The reason I am curious is because with MoP achievements going account wide I'd like to help out my bloodthirsty title and whatnot.

heres the thing, just because its account wide, doesn't mean its battle net wide. you can have multiple "Accounts" of wow on one battle net, but they wont influence each other under the "Account wide" stuff because technically you have 2 wow accounts. that make sense?

what i would do is if you need to make a new account go to g-mail and make a new g-mail account, then make your battle.net account. make sure you take pictures or completely document things like your secret questions and answers. what i use is a program called "KeePass" KeePass Password Safe its a program that allows you to store passwords and other information to an encrypted Database, so not only is it safe, but you can also use it as a normal password manager to generate random password if you need to. what i did was make a new database and took screenshots of things like the WoW Keys i used, and the registration pages of the battle net and g-mail so if i need the secret question and answer i have it. i also typed it out in the program in case i need to copy and paste it later, say your wow account gets locked, they're going to ask for the last 5 digits of one of your Cd-Keys, and just having it typed out is nice because you can just copy and paste it. once thats done and i have my wow and battle net and gmail setup, what i do is setup g-mail to forward all e-mails, to my main e-mail account, (in my case its yahoo) so if i get banned or whatever, i dont have to keep logging into that g-mail account to keep checking it and looking for an e-mail. since everything at this point is setup, i then take that encrypted database file and i have a copy on my phone, my main pc, and a usb stick. the usb stick i put in a hiding place at my grandma's house that i can get to if something ever happends like my phone gets stolen and my laptop gets destroyed in the same day i have a copy of that information somewhere else, and even if someone finds it they need the password to get in it.
if you wanna do Refer a friend, after you make the new gmail or e-mail for that battlenet, log into your "main" account and send the refer a friend e-mail, then make the battlenet,

make sure if you wanna be able to transfer toons between the two battle net accounts you keep the same Last Name on both accounts and you shouldn't have any problems.

hopefully that helps.

Achievements are going account wide meaning every wow license on the battlenet level. Here's a link to a blue post. The second one is the one I'm referring too. Zarhym clarifies account-wide achievements

So that is why I'm asking. If I have 2 wow licenses on wow battle net. Wow license 1 never bots while wow license 2 does the botting. If license 2 gets caught will license 1 be ok?

I hope the clarifies if I was not clear before.

they classify them as 2 different accounts even if on the same battle net. so if one gets banned you should be fine on the other one, BUT they might decide differently if you Gained too much on the other account because of your behavior on the one that got banned.

Awesome that is the info I wanted to hear. I figured 2 on the same Bnet would be o.k.-ish. I was thinking of using bg buddy on a rest druid to follow my main a dk around in bgs. On average in a IoC or AV I can hit 120-220+ HK's per bg so multiplying that by two could speed things along immensely.
