How do you gear your character?

For those of you that bot on a character you also enjoy playing, opposed to a character that you only farm on how do you gear the character?

I don't really want to join a guild or put myself out there to be whispered or watched. I'm not sure about finding a 2v2 partner could be hit or miss if they message me.

PVE:
Since you bot, i assume you have some gold, buy gear from ah, ask in trade to buy Valor boots, buy raidspot in a good guild.

PVP:
There are some crafted pvp sets with resi, not the best still something, and farm hp for better gear
