How do you deal with ingame pests?

Pests as in other players wanting to be friendly...not pests as in booty bay crotch critters lol

I started another account to bot yesterday and got a pally to 16, she was in SW today and I was gearing her up and taking her to meet one of my other toons on a different account to trade some stuff when a 23 rogue started whispering me.

He started giving me things and inviting me to his group and following me around like a companion pet just being nice but a major unwanted pest at the moment.

I went to meet my other toon and made our trades and told him I was going for lunch and logged off.

Now I hope the guy doesn't friend me and start whispering me everytime I'm on.

How do you deal with others wanting to be friends with your bots?

Are you asking how to get rid of him, or how to get rid of him without being a douche bag about it? He probably is 13 and suspects your female. Just ignore him or tell him you are male and have better thing to do.

I try very hard not to make friends on my grinding / botting accounts. But sometimes the occasional lonley puppy dog finds you and follows you home. If they won't leave you alone I says my wife is playing this character from now on and then just ignore them, after a few days of being ignored they usuall give up and go away.

get the wow addon "Bugmenot". be a total ass to everyone who speaks to you directly. comment in /2 every now and then that they're all fucking stupid and should shut the fuck up about whatever they're talking about. never make female toons.

That's how i keep most people from bugging me. also /dnd No I don't want to tank/dps/help you finish whatever you're doing. go the fuck away.

I am female lol. Good idea, maybe I could just tell them I am a male...would probably totally ruin whatever they were doing but hey it will keep them away from me...and maybe keep their keyboard cleaner...eeeeew bad mental image.

Well back on topic, you don't have to be mean, you can just put them on ignore i beleive that makes you offline to that player not sure tho. I wouldn't put DND while botting as people who run past may click on as this happened alot in the glider days and people would say why am i banned? because you botted 24/7 while afk as tag people seem alot more aware of bots now then ever but i suppose it depends on your server.

Putting someone on ignore does not make you appear offline, but if they whisper you they will get a message indicating you are ignoring them.

well I logged two accounts on, put them in a group so he cant spam me with group invite. He whispered me "Hello" when I came back on but I didnt reply. So he has just left me alone. He's just standing around SW killin time(watched him on my other toon hahaha). Maybe he has found someone else in SW to bother while my bot tears up Westfall lol.

As I said before, BUG ME NOT. Get it. It will decline people who invite you into their group/guild/raid unless they're on your friends list. After so many times, it will automagically ignore then, and even send them a customizable message if you like, mines says, "No means no, now piss off fucker". It seems to work pretty well.

I was joking about the DND sign, I don't bot with a DND on but I have before. <DND> I'm 7 and my dad says piss off perv!.

It's always tempting to make hot toons, as I love staring at fine ass, even spacegoat and undead ass, but it just invites too many problems.
