How do you bridge the gap between LK and Cataclysm ?

My question is how do you, fellow buddies, bridge the gap between LK and Cataclysm ?

Since HB absolutely can't handle Vash'Jir, which is kind of an entry level zone before Hyjal, and Hyjal mobs are massively OP if you are fighting them in LK questing gear, how do you bridge the gap ?

I just go and buy gear from the AH, but I end up spending between 3K and 4K on Cata greens I will later vendor for each one of my toons I level.

Has anybody figured a way around this issue ? Some cheaper and easier way to deal with the massive gear and difficulty gap between the two xpacks ?

Vash is NOT entry level BEFORE Hyjal. You can start questing in Hyjal at 80. There's not gap when you're using Kicks profiles. There's no reason to spend that much gold on greens you'll get them questing. Here is a direct link for questing in Hyjal at 80. I've never had issues going from questing in northrend to hyjal.

I mostly bot paladins/dks, with the ocassional shaman. Other classes might be less durable, idk...

I'm botting my first cloth wearer which is a mage i'll let you know how it goes once i get in Hyjal, but like everyone else said I havent had any issues with others classes I botted (but they were all plate wearers)

Hyjal is fine. I even fight the first quests without the heirloom breast and shoulders and manage to survive. I use Kicks profil.

I run the profiles LK to 80, even if it has been grinding from 79.
I either BS some greens cause I can, or just start the Hyjal profile depending on if I feel like spending money, usually not since they can handle the quests.

I can tell you how this goes.....

I had a Level 77 mage that was running around in Zul Drak. Started the bot, ran it overnight, ran it during the day whilst I was a work, came home to a mage standing at the graduation ceremony in Hyjal, about to finish the quest-achievement for Hyjal.
Ergo: No problem at all. one-click, fully automated.

I usually just tough it out and do Vash'Jir using CombatBot to assist since I'm lazy. Once I get the seahorse mount (after an hour and a half or so), I head to Hyjal.

Kick has a profile to get you the seahorse mount. But thats as far as it goes, iirc.

There is a profile but it requires a lot of babysitting. I find it easier to just do the quests manually.
