How do people get banned so easily these days with Gatherbuddy?

I've been reading a lot of the ban reports recently, and it seems everyone is getting banned for GB these days. It seems to be the riskiest form of botting these days. Are these bans coming strictly from player reports or some way Blizzard is able to tell who is botting while gathering?

This seems odd to me since i've used GB2 extensively for 10-15x hours on my main account. I only use random profiles(randombuddy) so maybe that helps?

I botted gather for like a month and a half straight. still no ban. on either of the accounts i used to farm.

Use multiple profiles. Change every few hours. Shit I have 3 separate folders for townlong, kun-lai, and dread waste that has 50 profiles for each zone and I choose one at random to farm with for a couple hours, and switch a while after.


From what I understand, they get the people who use one single profile 10 hours a day 7 days a week. switch your profiles up and if you care about the account monitor it as much as you can and you'll be perfectly fine.

I've been steering well clear of GB for this very reason, but I believe it could well be because Blizz have put in some LCP detection related to the most popular profiles. If you are gonna do it best off to vary it as much as possible.

Well, you'll get banned at some point it's just a matter of when..
and if you bot 20 hours, you'll most likely get banned quite fast
Quite often, it's player reports tho ...
