How do I protect my main account(nonbot) from being banned?

Hi guys! I am new to botting and judging by the forums this is a bad time to get started.

Anyway.... I have been playing wow for many years on one account. I would hate for that account to get banned!

Here is my situation.... I have 2 computers. I also just purchased a VPN service. If I run my main account on computer 1 with my real IP and the bot account on computer 2 with VPN only. Could my main account on computer 1 be linked in any way and get banned?

Yes, it could.

VPN does nothing at all to protect you.
If you bot on one account and send stuff to the other on a regular basis, you can be banned.

It hasn't happened in the latest set of banwaves though. Any account you bot on will be banned right after the next major content patch, without a doubt. If you don't bot on an account at all, chances are good that it will not be banned.

What if I don't send stuff to the other account? I just want to bot on a separate computer wit a separate IP(vpn) and not worry about my main account being banned. Also, does blizzard recognise computers through VPN?

If you do it like you said. It cannot be linked. Just don't make any interactions between accounts in game. No trading of any kind between the accounts even not over AH, guild...
But also create second game account on second PC and pay for the game, subs from sources that can't be linked. Don't use same PayPal, credit cards and so on... gamecards best option
Also don't just copy WoW from one PC to another. Redownload it on the second one.

If you access the VPN through software on the computer then Blizz will know that the two computers are on the same internal network and thus they will know that they are in the same house. The fact that you then use a VPN will only make it more suspicious.

Yes, Blizz can link the two accounts. But as said; so far they have taken no action on accounts that haven't either been using HB directly or have received oodles of stuff from a botted account.

In the end you will find that botting is basically dead anyway. The 3rd party developers have been leaving, Bossland has been breaking contracts with his customers, mods have been mocking users. If I were you I'd simply forget about HB.

Like never since your join date, I assume. Great experience.

Oh wait, you've had another account and have been here since glider.

If you don't like to face facts, don't do, but refrain from giving any sort of feedback or advice.

Botting WoW is in a worse state than it has ever been:

Less profiles.
Less security.
Lower profit due to low prices.
3 detection banwaves in a few months span.

Please, personal experiences are always good to share; but just stay quiet when the old timers like croga speak. They know more than you.

The same applies to the 10-message wonder poster above.

Hi

got the same issue, but I create my own guild, with the hope to avoid the cheat detection, do you think it's the safest way to trade material and gold to the main account?

thanks!

ps:
agree with you, botting industries is dead for casual botter, only for goldfarmer it's still alive(I think they can survive ), but this is an other topic.
