How do I get my HonorBuddy to auto update?

I was at my buddies house drinking a few beers and then he turned on his honorbuddy and it automatically auto updated when he started it up. My HB never even gives me the option to do this and I have to clean install every time (which I don't mind, but if I had to choose between the two...) I was just wondering if there was an option or something I unclicked.

Cheers!

There's no option for this AFAIK, it's automatic if there's an update available.

Quee is spot on with this. Auto-update is built into Honorbuddy, and there is no way for the user to turn it off.

Just download with a new release the zip and start a fresh install works the best....

Is it because I'm not downloading it through zip that I am not getting prompted to auto update? :\
Hi again, Damiaox,

Nae, Zip or Installer should work the same. I do not see how the updater could fail, unless your installation is seriously damaged. Perhaps, you've copied some cruft from a previous installation that is causing such damage.

We should have a new version of Honorbuddy once testing completes on some issues we're trying to hotfix. That should give you an opportunity to try again. You might make a copy of your Honorbuddy directory, so we can keep trying until we can figure out what's wrong.

If we drop again, and HB doesn't offer to auto-update, please open a new thread in the Support forum, and be sure to attach a log.

Hey guys thanks for all the replys, it really wasn't the biggest deal but you guys helped me out!
It randomly started working when I got home back from work, I don't know what did it now but ill take it!

Cheers!

As far as I understand it, some updates auto-update and others don't because those are the times a clean install is straight-up required rather than just being a better option.

Hi, Hatredcopter,

This is true. Some builds are flagged to force a 'clean install'. This happens when we know an 'update install' is guaranteed to cause problems, and overload the Support forums.
