First off, any successful Chinese company that is worried about losing accounts or falling under suspicion will hide just about ANY proof that the character they're logging into is from China, and every account they log into is not from China and is from countries all across the world.
On a side not let me make myself clear trial accounts CAN NOT sign guild charters OR be invited to a guild, they also CAN NOT trade or be mailed things and I'm pretty sure they cannot send or receive mail besides text ones.
You guys are right they they store gold in guild banks but a lot of these companies are bigger than you think, so when they need a guild bank they get 10 separate accounts of their own to sign it, probably a mixture of botting accounts/brand new vanillas.
After guild is created every toon is ranked up to highest ranks so they have full access to invite others, withdraw, deposit etc.
The brand new vanillas will mainly stay logged out and the accounts that are already kind of suspicious (botting) will do most of the withdrawing and transactions (I said account not toon)
So no matter what happens, say 7 out of 10 were banned, the suspicious ones that were either botting or doing transactions. The vanillas log in, and will do 1 of 2 things if the money in the guild bank is still there, as certain posts said Blizzard has taken away gold before (none I've seen confirmed)
1. Invite more new Vanilla accounts to the guild. However I doubt they do this method often as the guild has either been cleaned out or is suspicious looking now.
2. One of the Vanillas after withdrawing the gold from the Guild bank if it's still there, repeats the process of making a new guild with all of their own in accounts, some new vanillas some not.
Now that is how they store gold short term, they never leave gold in one place at a time for too long, or the length isn't too important lets just say they don't leave it one play for many transactions. They will also usually have it least 2 guild banks per faction on realms depending on the size of the Goldsellers.
Also if they have a big amount of stock on a realm and some of their money is still "dirty" e.g. done big transactions, since they have their accounts all logged in from different countries, they will buy items with the dirty money and launder that across selling to either players or their own people that have hand-farmed. After they have done this they get Fresh vanilla's to Deposit the Clean gold into a new guild bank.
Gold never stays too long (as in too many transactions) in 1 guild bank they move it around if they have a bulk amount, that's one of the reasons why a lot of gold buyers won't take your gold if they have stock big size and low demand.
Not only because they can't sell it because of no customers, it's risky for them to have a large amount of gold on 1 realm because if they get banned not only do they lose Vanillas and accounts they lose a big chunk of their revenue because of all the gold being gone.
I'm sure I'm missing quite a few of the ways they launder it but these are the 2 that I know of also sometimes middlemen will be hired.
Or sometimes occasionally if they are also gold buyers, what they will do is, is have me trade directly to a customer if they are online and give me 3$+ per K, in this way they make instant profit and risk no accounts or transaction trail.
[If you read through that wall of text (I tried to break it up) thanks and I hope you found it somewhat helpful
