I've been away for a while, and now I'd like to get back into botting WoW for a little money.

I've been struggling to find ways to level to 90 with out doing it manually. Kick's quest profiles are okay but as always there are a lot of issues and I prefer not to babysit it.

What are my options? Grind? Just herb/mine to 90?

I doubt you'd make it to 90 grinding..prolly get banned before that..

BGs work pretty well..nothing is really stable enough to afk to 90 so if you can't stand to check in fairly often I'd hold off 'til things even out..

I grinded 13 toons to 90, so yea it's possible. I'm not saying it's smart, but it's all I had at the time.

I have grinded 11 toons 85-90 so far in MOP, as well as 7 new toons using my profile from 1-80+ There is nothing wrong with grinding. To a degree the game is based on grinding even during questing. The problem is grinding for 82 hours straight. In moderation, it is as safe as any other form of botting. (How do hand players earn skyshards, leather, motes of Harmony, transmorg gear .etc), just my opinion.

Edit: Grinding got a bad rep in the past because morons would leave it running for days straight, get banned and then wonder why they got banned.

Grinded, just find a good profile with no other people around (areas where questing is not needed). 85-90 took around 30 hours for one of my toons, the other one I levelled by herbing/mining.

Kick's Questing profiles are rather stable, but nothing afkable. I simply let it level while i'm working and spend maybe 5-10 for the manual parts.

Archaeology. Sure, its slow, about 1mil/hour, but i guess its the safest and most afkable way there is.

Kicks 1-85 questing Alliance and Cavas 85-90 (a lot of human interaction on certain quests but better than 100% grind or 100% human interaction ). Grinding is bad because if someone pays attention to your character for a certain amount of time it will be obvious to them that you are a bot. Plus when you do questing you get the gold to cover all mount expenses and you get gear. Plus if you get reported later on for "being a bot" you will have all those quests done. If you had no quests done then it may be an automatic ban from Blizzard.

grinding for motes, disenchants and the meta gem recipes, grinded all my toons to 90.

Questing using Kicks AFK like a motha just make sure you check in on it every once in a while.

Create your own profiles and judiciously grindbot...

however i have 4 90's 3 of which are 1-90's that I did mostly with kicks 1-85, then grinding 85-90.

I used a combination of questing and the 'FightHere' plugin, which would sit in an area and do nothing but kill mobs/collect quest items until I checked in on it. This way all those boring 'Kill 15 of these', 'Collect 5 rubbings', etc., would be done for me automatically while I was off doing other stuff. Without waiting for Kick's much-loved questing profiles to be ready.
