To start a new account with Recruit a Friend, recruited by main account, but bot on the new RAF account?

I NEVER bot on my main account. I have deiced to start a second account and use that account as my bot/farmer and figured I might as well get the free game time and free RAF rocket mount.

Is this safe? If the RAF account gets banned, will my main account be liable also?

Use a different first name and the same last name. That way you can transfer toons from your botted account to your main if you want to.

there is a very slim chance you will get banned, but be warned blizz could connect them threw your ip address and bann both it all depend's on the GM's mood and if they digg deep in the investiagtion, but like i said that's on rare occasion's and you should be fine.

Yeah, that I realize - that is why I use two different connections and two different computers. The bot connection is a random open wifi connection.

That will connect the account's and could put his main account at risk if his farming account get's banned and a GM investigates it mate.

I can imagine you will be safe then, but with my past experiences with blizz and weird way's they have banned me i would be cautious.

I never bot my main, but did a RAF for my first bot account which then raf'ed my 2nd bot account with then did my 3rd.

Not had a sniff of an issue over RAF on any of my bot accounts or main.
