How common is it to receive a ban for fishing?

I've moved to a new realm and botted 1-100, I'm just curious what the odds are that I'll receive a ban if I were to max fishing?
Is it common, and how can I make it more safe?

I fished for over a week straight without stopping. Made crazy gold and got my favourite mount.

If people see you fishing forever they may report you. Then you may get banned. So using a profile/botbase that moves you around every so often would reduce the risk. If you fish 24/7 you WILL get banned eventually.

Fish away in your garrison, you'll be fine.

I got banned on May 13th(last Banwave) and only been fishing for 3-4 months prior to that. So I guess they can ban you but they kinda wont.
