Hey guys, one of my friend got3 accounts perma banned . The first account was ban one month ago, the two others this weeks. The first was created 5 years agos, the two others 2 weeks agos.
He played on EU. (By the way I am french so apologies for my english)

So after all this bans he had a long talk with a GM (game moderator, dont know if its the good expression in english). Here is the best part of the discussion. I'll do my best for translate in english.
More important part is in Bold

Votre compte World of Warcraft est fermé définitivement suite à une infraction directe à nos conditions d’utilisation.

So do you think its the truth ? How to prevent / avoid this ?

Technically this is illegal and against about any liberty charts from most of the countries.... SO you could sue them and win (big) because this is a major infringement to fundamental freedom laws. On another note, read this article https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2005/10/blizzard_entert.html said that yes they use a program to scan your processor and random memory but that the program also collects data about stuff you do while browsing the web, etc. This is kinda scary not because I'm botting but because your privacy is raped. That's double standards by Blizzard, which is f***ing disgusting.

Actually, you are supposed to highlight in bold the next topic:

Third unauthorized quite software third program (including add - ons) is called which allows to *****, intercepts, gathered or data collection in the database of the game, or allows to modify or to pirate the interface or the environment of the gamein a unauthorized way clearly by Blizzard Entertainment.

The above, translated to common language, means that the WoW client is legally allowed to actively monitor only processes, which are attached or interfere with the WoW software. So they indeed scan your RAM, but only for software, interacting with WoW, indeed ... not for "any program in your task list" :D

blizzard gives you the chance to opt-out of the scans by clicking 'i do not agree with these terms'. ofc you won't be able to play the game, but your super secret spy stuff and your kiddie porn will be safe from prying eyes.

I lolled pretty hard at this

Run in VMs. Doesn't use much more CPU if done correctly.

Sorry but VM's doesnt make it safer because you still run the wow client and the bot process on the same vm, are you ? ;P if you know what i mean ..

Read too fast I thought you meant multiple instances of WoW are more easily detected.

what do you hope to accomplish with a vm. blizzard is smarter than you think. they can see right through that shit.

It's all cool, but I see you didn't bot up until around may 13th :)

VM's are a complete waste of time unless you want to play around with programs that might harm your computer. Botting on a VM is just no better than botting on a normal PC.

I lost 8 accounts (I think it was) earlier this week. I've been botting on and off (mostly on, but not at the time of the 6 month bans) for many years, my last bans came at the start of Cata. It's funny you mention about the WoW launcher though. I never ever launched from the WoW launcher when I play normally until the same day I got banned.

I'm not saying it's because of that, but it is interesting... Truth is, we have no idea how Blizzard detects us. I probably shouldn't have been doing Kixx 1-15 and then DungeonBuddy to 90 on 5 accounts at the same time.. I don't know.... It's frustrating :)

vm good for running alot of bots at once with shit settings without fucking up your main settings if you actually play, thats about it, theres nothing you gain from running the bot on a VM detection wise.

Can't tell if trolling or serious.

You both clearly fail at using VMs or cloud technology.
