How about that Ron Paul?

First of all this thread doesn't belong here and secondly as a British citizen I don't know Ron Paul.
 
As an American citizen, neither do I, but I've heard of him and watched a few times.

I honestly have to say though... not a big fan. Looking for someone else to take the Republican party and beat Obama. Unfortunately the people I was hoping would get the nomination have either sunk in the poles or dropped out completely. Re-evaluating those that are left...
 
yeah i gotta agree with you that the elites would not let him get into office. i just like the fact that he wants to cut spending 1 trillion in the first year and eliminate the fed.

Yea... good luck with that. There are many things that sound good in theory that would be lousy in practice...
 
Cutting spending in the US would be easy.

Bring back all the troops... the war on "terror" was just balls and a waste of trillions of dollars.
 
we don't have to look far to cut the budget that is for sure.

America is about as likely to hugely slash their budget as I am to get a Golden Toilet to sit on for my 9am dump.
 
I'm not going to continue on this thread beyond this post... and I'm not going to specifically respond to some of the posts that I would like to - I could see my opinions not being welcomed by many here.

I will just say this:
1) I am an American and am proud of that each and every day
2) I'm retired Navy - 20+ years
3) I still believe that we as a country TRY to do the right thing MOST of the time
3a) We don't always succeed
4) I think way too much time is spent in 'my country is better than yours' arguments
4a) The same could be said for HB is better than Pirox or visa versa debates
5) I'm still an optimist and always hopeful that God's people can somehow learn to live in peace with each other - or at least ignore those that they don't get along with

and lastly
I would like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

And i dont think this was about whos country is better, i just think it was about ron paul and how awesome he is.

I am an HN but I missed HM3 by 6 points in Sept.
