[size=+1]This is a managed Horde 1-80 project consisting of both 1-80 Grinding and 1-80 Questing (QuestOrder) using source control so that profile designers can be given tasks and simultaneously update the same profile. The project repository can be found at hordequest.googlecode.com. Joana's Horde Guide will be followed as closely as possible for the questing segment of the project (provided on site). We are actively looking for astute designers since they are pivotal in both the development and completion of this project.[/size]

  1. Go to hordequest.googlecode.com, and get acquainted with the site.
  2. Go to Wiki Section to view setup instructions. Follow the steps to get a local copy. To update to latest version, simply right click on the .xml profile and select SVN Update.
  3. To view latest version of the profile via the site, click on Source > Browse > Trunk.
  4. Rigorously test and post any bugs found by clicking on Issues > New Issue.
  5. Refrain from posting bugs on this forum so we can keep them more organized and fix them faster.

  2. Request developer privileges in order to edit/update the profile by emailing one of the owners (Project Home > People) or replying to this thread and providing a valid gmail email address.
  3. Go to Download section and download Joana's 1-80 Horde Guide.
  4. Go to Wiki Section and follow the instructions, which will guide you in installing Turtoise SVN, creating a working folder, updating local version to latest profile, committing changes.
  5. Go to Project Home > People, and complete tasks assigned to you. When finished or idle with no tasks, email the project owners to obtain additional tasks. Tasks might include crude conversion between Joana's Guide and QuestOrder syntax or performing rigorous testing on components of the profile.

  5. (60-68) Outlands - Needs testers/people to commit changes
  6. (68-80) Northrend - Need testers/people to commit changes
Grinding
  1. (1-60) Horde Grinding (starts in Durotar) - Completed but needs factions for levels > 47 (should be done soon).

Now anyone can commit changes: Just commit under username: [email protected], Password: Jr9yX2mF2SN8 (IF you want to log into the site to set issues as having been solved, sign into google using password 'honorbuddy')

Just tested the 1-10 in Durotar. Almost flawless. Very, very good job. I got caught on a rock in the cave for the Vile Familiars quest, I will rerun another character to see if it happens again and hopefully make a quick edit to that spot.
 
Me, and VeryThaiGuy have been working on this and bashing our skulls in trying to get things to work/fixed. But I am happy with the progress we have made in such little time.

I encourage anyone and everyone to help us along by testing, or even helping with some code.
 
I will start a new warrior and help you continue this tomorrow when i finish work, i see you are having issues with checkpoints,

What you can do is put a checkpoint then re-list all pick ups, if you already have the quest then it wont attempt to pick up the quest as far as i am aware. (I could be wrong here).

I believe that hb also checks the lua call that can show which quests have been completed so it "shouldn't" try and pick up a quest again if it has already completed it (by id im guessing, again this is just theory).

This would need testing as i cant confirm it works.
 
I love this idea! It's kind of like the wiki profiles project, but with a bit more control.
 
*Bump* Added starting zones (1-12) for all Horde races. For undead and bloodelf, player must manually board and unboard flying boat in Kalimdor, load main horde 10-80 profile to resume levelling. HB2 should automatically run to crossroads from the flying boat dock in Kalimdor.

Important: I need dedicated designers to help me in creating all segments of the Horde profile. Lt.Leon is on vacation the next 2 weeks, necessitating the need for this more than ever :). Thank you.

For me the 10-80 part will not work without quest giver id's

@verythaiguy: Are you the guy that wrote the shaman CC for omegabot?
 
how would this project go with completing class specific quests?

when i was botting up my rogue i didnt know i was missing out on poisons till like lvl60
 
Yup I'm the guy that wrote shaman cc for omegabot. I have no idea how to do class specific quests unless honorbuddy implements some sort of if statement so I can do code only for specific classes.... Unless of course you have any ideas I am not cognizant of?

I have a level 24 Druid that I can test out the last parts of this profile if you want, but then again I could aswell delete it and start over to test the entire thing! That is so worth it if we can get a good 1-80 for horde (Questing that is, Biik's still rock for grinding ;) )
 
Hey, I'm botting a Shaman with ShamWoW and the newest version of HB.
Currently I'm level 10 so I decided to try the durotar profile, but for some reason it crashes when I try and load the profile?
Is this CC, HB or profile related? No error, just get the message "Honorbuddy has stopped working"...
 
This project is the reason, why I will buy HonorBuddy.
