Honorbuddy Update Status - Patch 7.3.0 Build #24931

Patch 7.3.0 Build #24931 has dropped.

Honorbuddy v3.0.17514.888 will not work with this new version of the WoWclient.

A WoWclient patch may, or may not, require a corresponding Honorbuddy release. Additionally, there may be the typical hotfixes that can cause downtime when Blizzard discovers "uh oh"s when placed under load, or the exploitative prowess of the gaming community. ​

When will a new Honorbuddy be ready?

The Bossland GmbH development staff are working to accommodate all the needed changes. The Bossland GmbH development staff will keep you informed of progress updates in this thread. But, the thread will only be updated when appropriate (i.e., an internal milestone has been met).​

About the forums...

All threads pertaining to "cannot attach" issues, the accelerated release of an update, "Honorbuddy lite", complaints about the bot being down, and general trolling will be closed or deleted.​

Fellow buddies,

As most of you have probably heard, the 7.3 patch has major technical changes which includes a new obfuscation mechanism being added.

The update will take as long as an update for an expansion patch or maybe more. We can not give an ETA, but we will try to do our best to keep you folks in loop.

I could safely say to not expect a Honorbuddy release for at least a week.

P.S. The days bot has been down will be compensated upon the release of first public build.

We have made good progress on analyzing new stuff that has been added with patch 7.3. However, we will not be doing a public release until we look everything in detail.

Safety of your accounts is our top concern and we will not be taking shortcuts to rush a working Honorbuddy build.

That being said, do not expect anything until at least another week from now on.

There is no actual updates on progress. We are performing in depth analyzes and we will actually be done when we are done. As stated before, we will not do any public releases until we are fully confident about the security of the bot.

Therefore, we will not give ETAs to not cause false hopes.

There is still no certain time for a release. The delay is caused by the security concerns.

We already have Honorbuddy fully updated for latest patch but we are pretty sure that it can be detected right away in its current state.

We are working on countermeasures and can not give any ETAs. It might take a few hours or even a week.

This will probably be the last announcement before a release post as there is not much else to say from this point on.

Due to nature of new detection mechanics we needed to do a lot of work both on Honorbuddy client and various internal services.

We have been making good progress lately and getting close to a release. We are hoping to get everything ready in 2 days unless something unfortunate shows up.
