Honorbuddy on an older version of WOW

Does WOW have to be up to date in order for HB to find it?
Im currently playing on a 12x BLIZZLIKE private server, real fun, and was wondering if there is any way to get the bot to work here? its a 60 cap oldschool wowserver.
