As the title mentions, Honorbuddy believe it or not has a great forum.

Please don't take your experience here for granted, yes you did pay 24.98 Euro, but you get a lot more than what you originally thought. I have read a lot recently probably just as much as some of the moderators here, maybe more during the last couple weeks. Every second I get I am looking at the forums whether I am on the bus or on my computer studying for an exam :). I love reading questions, complaints and general inquires. I am very much an avid Honorbuddy user and recently committed forum patrols patron. I don't enjoy World of Warcraft much the same without the ability to bot (it feels too much like a choir at times).

Anyway, to my main topic. The user to moderator ratio or the amount these forums get moderated is impressive. It feels so clean and easy post (some might disagree here, but most of the time they're not following the rules). Also the fact we have such an active forum community is amazing, it is reassuring that people are interested in what you have to discuss. There will always be trolls/cranky users and I can understand that they're everywhere. I myself sometimes feel the urge to rage in a forum, but control my self not to. I also today re-read the forum rules thoroughly to ensure I did not breach any regulations. I'd suggest a lot of users do the same.

I previously never posted anything on the Buddyforums unless I had a problem with my bot and required technical assistance, but after the ban-wave it changed a lot and I think the same happened for many users, either due to impatience or curiosity.

A history of how I started botting and my progression,
this links onto the next topic nicely

I knew what bots were before I botted, I didn't know what they were capable of but I would notice the odd bot here or there, farming those Obsidian Warbeads in nagrand for reputation or walking in a circular path for hours on end. I'd usually whisper them or invite them to group to see if they would respond or watch the group invitation time out. I was always pissed off when I saw one, I thought how dare they have an advantage. Usually resulting me in reporting them, (I didn't know about what program they used I just knew they had some type of automated program). My world of warcraft account has always had much value to me, and I didn't want to risk getting permanently banned, hence me not botting and feeling aggravated. It was up until one of my friends used Honorbuddy and had been using it for over a year or two, told me that he had been using a bot during the time he played wow was how I got started. I thought if He has been playing for that long without even a suspension I should give it a shot.

So just to be careful I created a starter edition account (the one will literally zero privileges and max level of 20), and opened honorbuddy to see if it would work. It didn't then I looked on the forums to see that I had to change my client to 32 bit hehe (i bet we all made that mistake :P). It worked I was amazed, that my computer was playing and moving a character by it self and not even running into walls. It was time to bot on my main and only world of warcraft account.

I started botting late mists of pandaria, around patch 5.3 heading onto 5.4, only the simple things like turning on archaeology bot and letting it run. I didn't care much for gold since I already had heaps (I knew how to play the auction-house and what to farm). From there I started to make a second character and level it up, I didn't know honorbuddy could level it (I was still a newb) so I manually did it. I created that character just for professions (the usual, mining and herbalism). I used honorbuddy's Gatherbuddy 2 for this. During this time I botted in super small periods maybe 1-2 hours max while moderating the bot 100% of the time (during the time I studied for exams) I was still very afraid of being banned. Receiving a PM like 'reported' would of given me a stroke.

It was time for me to check the forums and see what honorbuddy was capable of, I grew tired of archaeology and professions and the default options I didn't know there was much else. Opening thebuddyforums I learnt about gatherbots and I managed to save a XML file someone created for cloth farming and try it out. Bam it worked, I began to trust the honorbuddy forum users I downloaded heaps of different gatherbuddy profiles. I eventually completed my legendary cape quest after using dungeonbuddy to finish the boring and repetitive LFRs. Then I stumbled upon a forum section named Combat routines, what grabbed my attention was that it had all the different classes labled. Out of curiosity (remembering I'm a curious individual) I followed the instructions and downloaded and installed a combat routine that had a lot of upvotes. BOOM Tuahna combat routine was my first I was amazed what honorbuddy could do. I duelled someone in front of Orgrimmar with it and annihilated them (I manually could not perform as well as that routine on that particular class I played). I was so impressed I had to show one of my friends who played. He knew what honorbuddy was, but never really used it much. Anyway, we had been playing arena together for a while progressing quiet well without any scripts. Eventually we both bought some scripts for PvP and PvE content so we could relax on occasion. Combat routines opened up a new door for me, and really made the game exciting. After learning about Kick's questing profiles I levelled multiple different classes to 100 and purchasing different combat routines to test. The funny thing was I was higher rated on the character I use script with than the rest, although that character was my main which I had played since early Vanilla wow. When ever I got bored of wow I would bot a new character to 100, BGbuddy to deck it out in honor gear and then start arena with a combat routine to learn the rotation while gaining conquest points at the same time.

Unfortunately I can no longer do this, however it was apparent that PvP scripts were getting out of hand, there were too many botters on wow I found, particularly in the 1700-2300 bracket. It got to the point where I'd ask to join a Rated battleground group where the response would be only if I had a script (multiple times rejecting to invite a less experienced player with a script). I didn't like botting for progression I'd bot when I tired but still somewhat wanted to play.

I am have recently been looking at other bots (besides honorbuddy) to fulfil my combat routine desires, but I realised that no bot has a community like honorbuddy. Other bot forums are either filled with advertisements spam and scammers or so empty that the last comment on the forum was an update posted over a month ago.

I think that Bosslands decision to stop support for honorbuddy in arena was fine. I myself have over $100 worth of routines particularly for PvP. Though I'd be extremely happy if the developers could port their routines to other software.

I am only afraid for Honorbuddy's behalf that, because of their reputation and popularity, random player's will still believe anyone who is using a kickbot in arena is using honorbuddy.

Thanks for reading :)

You have PVP routines which can still be used in the BG's and RBG's as it has been stated over and over again.
