Hello,
I have been using HB for a little over a year. Last night the software was working properly with zero issues as usual. Today i went to use the software and encountered an error. I am a network admin so i went through the basic troubleshooting that was prompted by the verbiage in the message.
Here is how i start the program:
1. double click HB on desktop
2. click launch
3. at this point wow does launch to log in screen and windows UAC is prompted and "yes" is selected
4. I log into Wow successfully
5. after i run around for a couple minutes on the character i then click log in on HB.
At this point i am prompted with the error:
" We couldn't find a free Wow process to attach. Please make certain your toon is standing in game world and you are running the latest version of HB."
When i encountered this error i went through several troubleshooting steps:
1. first i tried a simple reboot of the PC. - Same results
2. Second i verified the "Wow install location" was correct and the HB location was correct on HB launcher. - same results
3. third i uninstalled the HB software, rebooted the pc, reinstalled HB with latest version off website. - same results.
Please help me if I'm missing anything.
