I've been a faithfull honorbuddy customer for 1 year , took 8 months break and came back now.
I've spent about 3 weeks trying to set up Honorbuddy to work flawlessly (not minor flaws, that can always be expected, but Im talking about the major flaws that ruin the grind all together) with the profiles this forum supplies. (even though 90% of all profiles I recall 8 months ago are completely gone, or they are there, but you cant download them, because of "you dont have permission"-error).
These are the major flaws/errors I meet everytime I try to run my bot:
(Tested with Worgen Druid from 1 to 63 - latest HB and Wow 4.3)
1) In Grind mode with herb/skinning profile:
Every time it gets aggro on mount, it turns around 180 degrees and runs away , away from skinning, away from herbing, away from mob, and pulls 6-8 new mobs aggro without intention. And first if it gets hit enough times in the back (by 40 mobs i.e.) and gets disorianted, first THEN it stops, and attacks, and dies because there are too many mobs. then after, what does it do? Does it run back to loot/skin/herb? No. It continues on the cycle after the major intense annoying bug happens. Effectively ruining the grinding all to gether. This happens so often that I bet I lose atleast 50% of the loot and xp I would normally have gotten. It's like there's 2 routines conflicting here. One saying that if you get aggro it should run away, another one saying if it gets aggro it should attack. These two seem to conflict, and most of the times the first one overrules the other one. It runs away, instead of attacking. Even though its just 1 mob. So, there you have it, my bot makes my char run through mobs, aggro them, and keep running until it gets killed from too many mobs. GREAT STUFF! (sorry, this annoys the living shit out of me)
2) In Grind mode with faction-id-profile:
It attacks the given mobs in the profile, but when it changes zone, or theres a mob closeby thats NOT included in the profile, it ignores it, and runs through it aggroing it. This happens ALL the time. I've leveled this guy from 1 to 63, over 2 weeks. And Ive observed alot, it does it always. Ive tried 15 different profiles, same issue, tried changing settings, but without any luck. I got "attack mobs in between hot spots" ticked on, but it NEVER does it. And I mean NEVER!
3) In Grind mode with either faction-id-profile or herb/skinning profile:
a) at any time during combat, it suddenly stops attacking. Just stands still. This happens about 60% of the time. And as you can understand, results in it dying. I can recall this error when Honorbuddy was abit new, but that had to do with CC problem. I understood CC's are integrated with HB nowadays? So no need to replace the CC right?
b) It doesn't attack mobs, it acts like theres no mobs, and goes for the herb like there's no tomorrow. Why doesnt it first analyze the area, attack the closest mob inbetween the herb and me, THEN loots the herb? Why? It has always been like this, why change it?
To me it seems like Honorbuddy has sunk in effectivity by very much over the last year. Is this because of Blizzard fighting HB compatibility? Or what?
Why can't the char just attack any mobs closeby? Why must it either attack faction-given id mobs, or no mobs and get killed either way? None of the grind profiles Ive tried work properly. None!
Please help me out here, I think a couple of things may be error on my end, but I'm not sure, tried most things without any luck.
