Hi mods,

As a long time user I normally don't have any problems using HB.
This time it's a bit different I downloaded the new update from scratch, loaded it up and entered my key.
Though it doesn't come further then Logging In...

I will attach my log but it has only 2 lines in it. I'm a bit clueless on what to do.

I'm running windows 7 ultimate x86.
I've already tried deleting the settings folder and restarting.
I've also tried another fresh install, but it didn't help.
I am running wow in dx9.

Hope you guys can help me out.

Please open UDP and TCP ports 5031, whitelist HB in your anti-virus, and any other firewalls.

Hi bambam922,

Thanks for the reply.

I have tried to set it up like you've told me to, it still doesn't work though :(

I will upload a screenshot of my port forwarding and of my firewall + a log. Hopefully we can get it to work!

if you leave HB running and just dont touch it, does it eventually get in? or does it never get past that logging in point?

When I leave it running it just dissapears after a while stuck at the Logging in... point.

What I did notice for example if I've got music on through youtube or whatever, the moment HB dissapears I get a short second freeze and then It's just gone.

If you need any more information feel free to ask me :)

remove:
- microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
- microsoft .net framework 4 extended
- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable

restart your pc,
download the installationwizard from here
run it as administrator.
after the wizard is done, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
restart

My problem has been fixed!

What I did was:

Downloaded : Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (Web Installer) from Official Microsoft Download Center [.net4 framework]

Booted it up, I repaired my current installation of the framework, rebooted and honorbuddy works again sweet and sound!
I also checked the C++ redistributable but it said I already had a higher version of it installed.

I just want to give a huge thanks to the buddy staff team for there amazing and quick support!

Much love from one happy customer :)
