You can only bot to 108'ish. The rest is from class quests, dungeons, etc. Although I don't fully understand your question. How would botting hurt you when getting artifact power?
Sorry I be more clear. So I leveled my Shaman by hand. And at when I hit lvl 110 I already had one of the gold dragon talents on my weapon. While you honor bot do you get artifact power items? Or do you have to get them manually? I have a warlock all I want to do is PvP with.

the bot does most of the quests to get you to level 110 . it dose not do every quest, Profession quests, xp events, kill rares, open chests and it has not got profiles to world quests.
if you play by hand you get a lot more AP by the time you hit 110. it will take you longer to level. if you use the bot you can always go back and find the missing quests, xp events, and chests . youll have months of world quests anyway...
