So today while grinding for stuff i came accross a fellow botter. I know hes botting cause shit we are using the same profile.... i messaged him asked how he was doing no reply.. i tried inviting him nothing. I decied he was obviously afk so i left him alone... i moved my grind bot elsewhere and continued on with my day. Later i seen him again in my spot that i didnt want in the first place. This time he messaged me cursing and swear threatening to report me.. i was ok..... so i got his skype and we had an indepth convo about whhat was happening. He said if i didnt move he would report me. What do i do like im not looking for conflict so i just moved back to the other zone and try to avoid him. But really is there no honnor among us :(

That would of most likely turned into a duel ban. They investigate the reporter too so in the end case they would of banned you both most likely.

just ignore it, never know blizz may look into both accounts if he reports you so he could be possibly putting both at risk. Just move on you will be fine

it is not the punishment im worried about i can live iwth the consiquences of my actions. its the honor among us. Like i fi see a fellow botter i try to make an obvious situation better by moving away and not making it more suspicious you know. Is there honor among us, is the question i truely ask

There is no my spot and you shouldn't bother other bots, so many have gone down the road of;

1. Botter A: Reports bot
2. Botter B: reports for harassment
3. GM bans both

see i didnt i moved on as he requested he or she was just so rude about it. I never threatend to report for anyhting im jsut shocked that people can be so rude like this... there should be a code we all have to agree to follow lol

Its not so much honor as trust because when your in a party it becomes alot more obvious whats going on and opens them up to being reported. Your basically asking a complete stranger to trust you with his botting accounts(If one of his accounts get reported all of his accounts are gonna get investigated that are linked)

I'd be more concerned with the state of your English than the other botter... when you've been botting enough times you'll eventually ignore everyone.

i get that i just didnt expect such a rude response....... like the guy below you

thats my typing not my english.... come on man rude not what we are talking about here

friendly tip: don't assume other botters are as nice as you think...

friendly tip2: add them to friend list, know where they are, avoid their places...

botting is a lonely game, and the forums are where you'll find some good people to talk to... and even here you'll find the doomsday callers and all that shit, trying to scare people into botting ...

Man u have his skype, which means u have his IP, if i were u i'd not let him use his internet anymore lol.

Like Phelon said...there is NO honor.
Yes..odds are he's already reported you.

If you see a botter...leave him alone. Go grind somewhere else.
Don't think you're being helpful by talking to him. You're not. Some botters auto-log off after X number of whispers.
Not everyone is as friendly as you are.

Your BEST defense as a botter is to NEVER stand out. Be one of the millions of nameless other players. "Fly under the radar".
Unless you are botting with a group of friends who also bot....do NOT associate or talk to other botters.
Its sad really...but you put your account at risk.

Ive run LFR many times, and I've seen bots get stuck running into walls (the stairs going up to Korgath for example).
If I'm on my priest, I'll Leap of Faith the guy and unstuck him. But i STILL won't whisper the guy.
On my pvp server, I've ganked obvious bots who were running into walls...better they die and hopefully reset their path than stand there until someone else (a non-botter or GM) sees them and reports them.

So...there ARE ways to help other botters...without putting yourself at risk.
But you're best bet is to just avoid everyone.

You obviously don't talk much in Trade chat do you?

Good luck and happy botting!

This is really nice, need more people like you.

This is not just a botting issue. This is a society thing where people think the only person that matters is themselves and will do whatever they can to step on anyone else. Some even go out of their way to cause issues (hence the amount of trolls that are out there). Even in this case, one side of the story is presented with the indication that you did anything wrong. I am not saying that you did, but the way culture is, stories seem to always be slanted in some way or another. News is real bad at that these days as they have gotten away from true reporting.

Usually when I see other people botting I try to give them a heads up without calling them out... something like the afks in dungeons
"Sup buddy, you interrupt like a pro! maybe tone it down a little bit"
or
"You're kinda weird walking like that... try to shorten your distance from the tanker"

They usually don't answer but I know I've done my part... same for the guys stuck on the map... always give them little hints but never calling it out...

Once I paired with a random dude from trade chat to make arenas, after we won 3 matches in a row I said "Nice CR" refering to the free rating we won...
He was surprised and asked me if I owned GladSuit too!

lol

People are douchebags, that's the sad truth and you will always find a botter who enrages when he meets other botters and does everything to expose said botter. People want everything to themselves, that includes a program/profile made for the public. Idiocy is common practice and common sense/decency is alien to most.
