Honesty required regarding PVP ability of honorbuddy

Hi all, im new here, potentially moving from Pirox.

my question is, how good or bad is the pvp aspect of this bot?

with pirox, i could leave the bot over night or all day with little fear of anything bad going on expect a DC (didnt have re-login setup)

i have ready that the pvp part of this bot needs work but i have also read in some CC profiles that ppl are owning in BG .. so i need some honest feedback please.

any constructibve comments appreciated

I moved from pirox as it was shutting down, I used the pirox PvPbot once or twice and thought it was average...especially the class setups also. I loved pirox for arch and farming though. I have't begun to PvPbot here but I have used every other aspect and it is really, really good...the class setups are much better - quicker, more realistic and less bot like. I set up a rogue leveling last night, it was CCing mobs correctly, interupting correctly, using cooldowns correctly,etc and generally dominating. Use that in conjunction with a bg waypoint profile then I don't see why it wouldn't be better than pirox. I fully plan to use the pvpbot in a few days when my rogue levels to 85. If you want me to come back to you with the results of that let me know.

also does anyone know if you can use the quest profiles at lvl 85 to do the quests, i.e. for the achi ???
 
I started using the quest profile at 58 and it was 62 within an hour or so.. short period, it was turning in completed quests and killing mobs. I actually swear I saw it vanish sap a mob that was getting too close...my rogue was also gouging..hopping behind the target and backstabbing. Several adds then pulled it blinded one, popped evasion/recoup and killed one by one. It was playing a rogue better than 90% of noobs leveling one. It did make some mistakes nothing is perfect, for instance while going into a cave it and running downstairs ( always tough in caves) and it pulled a bunch because it wasn;t in stealth, also it hasn't avoided elites in hellfire like the illidari taskmaster maybe? But thats normal and noobs also multii-pull and die. The combat alone is seriously realstic. I was going to fraps and show some people later on who used pirox.

i think i buy the 1 day trial tonight and try out my rogue, what CC did u use and what quest pack ?? i think my rogue is around mid 60 ish

For using quest profiles you need to consult the thread for them as to if they grant the achievement, some quest profiles only cover enough to level you up and don't do all needed for achievement.
Pretty sure there is a line you can toggle in most profiles for lvl 85's running low level quest lines.

my dk which i which to frost to use EZfrsot CC and i almost got the 20 killing blows with out a death.. plus im usually top 3 on the DPS/ KB's in most BG's

It's better than the instance part of it for sure, but, it's still very buggy unless you're a healer class.

I recommend you at-least change the co-ords of the .xml file so it doesn't stand over botters. Apparently there's a new version coming out at the end of January, so, if you only want it for PVP wait until then. If you want it for leveling, get it n04w.

Sorry, but I have to point out what you're saying is:

"Oh my god I love my toaster because my frying pan can cook my steak"

The CC just does combat, that's not what you were asking, you were asking how it does PVP, which is poorly. It runs to random places, doesn't really do objectives, can't decide where it wants to go (Runs in circles). The combat side of it is, well, not coded at all. They just said "Hey, we're going to let you code the combat side", which, is half good and half bad.

Bad. They're skipping out on doing half the coding and the people who do code it don't get paid.
Good. THEY'RE SKIPPING OUT ON DOING HALF THE CODING! That mean's shit can be updated while stuff that they code can be updated. 2 birds in one stone.

But yes, some of the CCs are great, some of them are shit. Looks like you got a good one ;)

hi,

yes i realise there are 2 parts of this, but i think that its much better than Pirox, but then again maybe i was bad in setting up pirox

i have found a decent CC for all classes for PVP but the DK and SHaman ones are by far the best, jedi hunter is decent and the warr one and hazza drood and cool

Maybe if you were on IRC you would be using the new BGBuddy already (test).

Honorbuddy ships with singular2 CC which is very good for some classes also viable for all classes. It's a community driven CC maintained by Apoc. So basicly your argument is not true.
All the bots out there rely on user contribution when it comes to CCs and none I have used has good CCs as we have here. (Thanks to all CC developers sharing their hard work)
PvP bot is pretty good, BGBot is amazing if u slightly modify your hotspots etc.

Comparing HB with pirox is pointless, pirox dont have a CC support. Its combat system relies on 5 offensive and 4 defensive macros. Can NOT cast anything reactively, can not read buffs/debuffs and cast certain spells regarding to that data.
Just spams these macros on a given cycle, and pops defensive macros on health/mana conditionals. Pirox was poor in anything regarding heavy combat.

My PvP grinding experience so far is great. I got full Honor gear for a Holy Paladin (I was topping the Heal meters with UPaCCBT and Squire), an Arms warrior, a Frost Mage, a Frost DK and a Blood DK.
for most of these toons it took 2 nights of botting to get all the honor items. (around 8-10 hours per night).

PS: Pirox is better in terms of fully automated Grind-Auction practice in multi zones. Professionbuddy, when used along Arelog covers most of the parts, but still lacks a bit randomization. But if you consider that you can also Prospect/Mill/Craft/Disenchant/Auction with professionbuddy and benefit extra profit from shuffling/Inscription HB is still better.

Yea... I'll have to check that out when I get home... can't bring my cell phone into where I work either... but glad you mentioned that cause I could always IRC via the phone while doing dailies or somethin' on the computer
