Homing Pads utilization

Newest trend on the top of the leaderboards is to spam Town portal and Force move.. What this does is put a permanent 65% damage reduction while not casting (and a tick of a shield) on your character at all times.

This is ridiculously overpowered for LoN crusaders and the new Grin Reaper LoN WD.. Is there any way to utilize this in trinity? What I've been doing to get it to work is using AutoIt to spam my "T" key every .2 seconds in the Diablo window since DB Takes over the force move/casting (Doesnt get interrupted, it only works when not casting.. Have not tested on channeling spells, though)

Huh, that's new. Do you have a youtube link of someone explaining this or something like that?

Not directly. People only just started doing this (one witch doctor managed to jump 3 GR levels over everyone else using the common WD build using this method.)

Here's a video explaining how force move cancels spellcast animation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68TAe8GB6ko

The example here is the barbarian furious charge. Homing pads has a slight delay on the damage reduction falling off, so spamming T while moving with force move keeps the 65% damage reduction up whenever moving, and doesn't cancel items like Hexing pants either.. It's the best of all worlds, and probably won't be around forever.

DB/Trinity/whatever handles movement (i'm no coder) seems to actually use force move all on it's own, so when I use AutoIT to spam "T" , it's working pretty well all on it's own.

This doesn't *really* work well with classes that need to cast constantly, but for Crusader/ WD it's ridiculously overpowered. With Crusader you're spending a lot of time waiting for CoE to come up, and with WD (non-firebat LoN Build) you're letting your pets do 90% of the work while weaving in piranas/horrify to trigger Grin Reaper every 10 seconds or so.. Basically- lots of downtime between casts. Having a 65% damage mitigation that sometimes absorbs a hit with a shield is *amazing* and allows you to stay toe to toe with mobs to trigger proximity DPS talents and stack Stricken using FireWalkers

Long story short, if this is added you will probably see Trinity be able to bot GR 85+ on WD/Crusader.. Crusader especially since you've done such an awesome job at optimizing the DPS. This would allow people to focus 100% on damage output items while gaining overpowered damage mitigation

Edit: To fully optimize the LoN crusader, T spam with homing pads equipped, and staying right on top of elites/the rift guardian's dong if firewalkers are equipped to stack stricken while waiting for CoE

Will be probably fixxed by Blizz and considered an exploit very soon imo, even when they seem to not care about botting, this mechanic would give us a huge edge...

May be tricky to implement this mechanic in bot. If bot constantly spam teleport every 0.2 secs, then it will move quite slowly. If bot doesn't spam teleport, then the toughness may be too low to survive trash normal/range attack at high g.rift.

We generally try to stay away from exploits.
