Herbing-Mining?

Im thinking this cus On my main that i need money on im Gonna farm alot in cata ye i know i can get banned...

Anyway i want to have herblore and alchemy cus of the alchemy mount and its easy farming but im thinking isint it worth it to just have mining and herbloring and have Alchemy and Jewelcrafting on my other 80 alt?

Since people like to do as you said not to do anyway, Ill give you a straight answer. Mining. I think Herbing is better if you care about the XP, but if your going for straight gold, Mining is the best of the two.

as an example
sending the herbs to my Alchemist and the ores to my J/C= more profit

i would say since you have a main(im assuming you raid and do pvp on it) i would go with to profs that benefit you for them like alch and engineering depending on your class. and have a diff toon as a herb/miner.
