Herbalism/Skinning - Not working???

It've been while since I used HB, but I used it to grind for mats I needed. HB1 would just skin/herb all of the npcs I've killed, and that is fantastic. However, when I downloaded HB2 just now to be tested, it doesn't do either, and it also bugs up often when trying to fight a mob behind a wall... I'm little puzzled to whenever if HB2 is truly an improvement in my part?

Anyone know if there is a plug-in where I can use to help me skin/herb the npcs I've killed? Thank you very much
