im thinking of lving up a few alc/tailor toons but i've been having a hard time getting gather buddy to do the farming of the herbs for me... what i've been trying to do is set gather buddy say in Durotar to farm for x number of Peaceblooms(one example) while unselecting all other herbs from the node selction tab, but not only does it keep on gathering unselected herbs(no big deal there) but after only a few minutes it moves to a completely diffrent part of the continent(uldum/mnt hyjal for example) at best, at worst if tries to fly out of the world(fatige zones) and just flys around doing nothing.... idealy this guys has something good going on for what i would like to see : see link here but its still an idea at best. am i doing something wron when im setting up GB and that's why it flys off to nowhere? how you any one of you guys go about gathering herbs if you wanted to max out afew alchs? thanks for any ideas in advance.

I haven't had much luck doing arch/herbing at the same time. Your best bet is just to level herbing via professionbuddy. Herbing and/or mining is better afk xp than Ab at any rate.
i have herb/mining/skinning maxed no 2 toons, so they can collect the mats i need(skill wise) but the problem is that they keep on wanting to gather higher lv zones(e.g uldum twilight ect.) and ignore the lower lv zones i need the mats from (e.g Durorurotar, silverpine forest for peacebloom for example) even when all other nodes/herbs are uncheked.
