Ok, so i have been using honorbuddy for years and I seem to think i have a good understanding of it.

I have recently upgraded my pc and reverted back to win7 due to fps issues on win10.

I have installed my OS, done all the updates. I then ran the buddy wizzard and installed all the necessary parts but for some reason, I just can't get the questing to work on my rogue. Every time I try to load it, it goes through all the compiling and then i select the profile and click start. When it gets to compiling talador quests, it just goes grey as attached and doesnt do anything.

I have tried dungeonbuddy etc and it works like a charm.

And yes, i have tried deleting the settings folder and also a full fresh honorbuddy and the same thing everytime...

Any suggestions would be ace!

Hey bud, I'm no expert but I'll see if I can help.

First thing is that your Directx is set to 11, it needs to be 9.

Also, since you did a fresh install of windows 7, you might need to download the prerequisites. Here is the link for the helper.

Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond.

I have always used dx9, including earlier today and it still did not work. During my research for an answer, i saw a thread that stated dx11 was also fine to use, so switched it to see if it made a difference. As for the prerequisites, I have already ran the buddy wizard thing twice. I am sure it has nothing to do with my setup as all my other characters work just fine. I can see several other threads today showing the same issue as me, that certain characters arn't working with the questing bot.

I was hoping one of the HB wiz kids might know what is happening.

Fingers crossed as I really want my rogue to be level 100 ^^

Again I appreciate the response but I feel like no one has actually read what I have put. I have done several clean installs including deleting the settings folders etc etc. Nothing works. I will just have to figure it out myself i guess.

If you did a clean install, there's be absolutely no reason whatsoever to delete your settings folder. The settings folder and all other folders that data is being cached to would be empty.

Doing a clean install means you start over from scratch...New folder, new downloaded zip or exe...It sounds like you haven't tried that route
