Server issues?

I could be way off but going off the messages about having network problems, I'd suggest it's a server issue on the PokemonGo server side.
We all know they're dodgy at the best of times and if that's the case, you may just have to wait it out.
You could try using a program to see if you're softbanned from the game (won't list them on here as I'm not sure if BossLand would like that or not) but a simple websearch will find unbanning programs for softbans.
