Help me get my Crusader past GR30

I have a best for GR29 under 12 minutes, surely GR30 shouldn't be that much harder ! I know DB's Crusader fighting isn't the best but surely I can't cop a bad map every time I try run GR30.

CDR 56.5%
Paragon 385

What would you change or needs improving ?
Anymore info required.

Furnace/Hearth of slaughter for weapon? What gems are you using? Is that 56% cdr with or w/o gogok? Using full Akkhan and replacing rrog with phys soj could be quite big dmg increase as you have only 20% ? phys dmg. Do you have +phalanx dmg from boots+helm and possibly shield?

I knew I missed something, Bane of the Trapped, pain Enchancer and Gogok, CDR is all on gear before Gogok.
I have 1 furnace and the re-roll is for IAS and a couple of Hearth Slaughter not worth talking about, my Balefull seems the best, but I'll swap em around to see if it makes a difference.
Phallanx is +35% with 15% from boots, not sure where the other 20 comes from.
Didn't have a SOJ until today, got 5 which is quite weird, fire with 20% and a lighning with 19%, no sockets in either so something has to go, but none have CDR which the RRoG does :(

I could re-roll IAS into CDR on the furnace I guess and get the 20% fire SoJ onboard and see what that does I guess.

Is there anything else to use ? To be honest there is a hell of a lot of backtracking and time wasting, some rifts I am watching there is a good 2-3 minutes of running over already explored ground for no real reason :( There is a lot of time spent figuring where to attack from instead of attacking too :(

Hum if you don't have a phys soj it's most likely not worth swapping to full Akkhan, you should roll the furnace to %dmg or %cdr, dmg being the best.
I haven't really tested my crusader on grifts but could do some test runs on it

Swapped some stuff around, averging 55m dps according to D3Recount - Diablo 3 Damage Meter | D3Rockstars not much better than I was before, I'll hope I get lucky on a ring drop.

Okay so I did 30grift test run and observed it a bit, the rift was quite decent, first level was a two way cave with low density and waller pack so not exactly ideal for phalanx crusader, next 2 levels were quite good and the bot finished with 6mins remaining on the clock. Stats standing in town: 1.264 sheet dps, 10,1m toughness, +37% phys dmg, +63% phalanx dmg have it from all shield/helm/boots, 51,56% cdr, 63% elite dmg furnace+unity.
R-Rift profile, 2.2.0 unedited(for crusader) trinity

And it completed 35 in time, with few seconds left as it died to ghom like 4 times...

I would recommend replace with (all lvl 30+)
Bane of Powerful or Toxin(+10%dmg)

Weapon - Furnace (regardless of stats, but you have to still make sure you have 56 CDR).

My CDR
Shoulder, Gloves, Belt, Shield +8%
Furnace+10%
96%Leorics Helm+12.5%

Yep, swapped to Furnace and still have 56% CDR, but down to 800k damage, lets see how it goes today.

Got an upgraded unity and leoric, easily doing 30 now, 32 is the next challenge, thanks for the help

The biggest thing holding me back is DB/trinity. The constant procrastinating as to which is the best spot to start fighting from, when it could actually be fighting. The constant back tracking on maps to pick up a health globe you don't really require (health at 98%). The constant backtracking to complete the 1% of a room you never explored, but had got the mobs from anyway. The constant following the same route back to the mob when you die, when the map is opened up and there is a quicker route back to the mob available. The constant standing beside a Nephalem globe but not picking it up to make your damage better, only picking it up after the fight is over. The constant not picking up of health globes to extend the life of Nephalem Glory when it is up. The 5 seconds wasted at the start of each level deciding what to do. The 5 seconds on combat of the GR boss when they haven't actually spawned.

Most GR I watch there is a good 2-3 minutes every level of wasted time and dumb decision making. I would not be playing this game without DB don't get me wrong, I'd just hope to see it one day just that little bit smarter.

This has been driving me nuts also, bot will run through AOE for 10 seconds trying to find a safe spot, upon arriving there it is no longer safe and spends another 10 seconds running somewhere else. There's a point when its smarter to just fight.

Winchester keeps dangling the carrot there will be improvements in December, I am hoping for sooner.

well thanks giving is sooner than xmas. pray to the turkey gods and hope for the best. lol

grats on the GR 30.
In my settings, i disabled globe pickup and my previous reco, get a immunity ammy.
Then change settings in AOE avoidance, so that its at a minimal.
 
Actually been running a few 31's now, about 1 min short in finishing in time, a few more good drops will be appreciated Blizzard.

I was running a GR30, got to the last boss with 4 minutes to spare, thought this will be easy, DB decided to do it's normal frustrating dance of where is it safe to attack from rather than attacking, I finished the boss by hand. Just makes me wonder how many other times I have finished GR early only to have DB dance and not fight :( Come on Santa, get your act together :)

Also, i havent installed the latest trinity/QT. lol
 
Got to the end boss of a GR31 yesterday with 5 minutes to spare, DB went down a level as the boss spawned on the level I was on, quickly stopped it and used the combat routine to finish it off in a few minutes, so I think the setting changes helped. I was about 1 minute short of killing the end boss on GR32, so hopefully with a good map I might be lucky to finish a 32 soon.

Funny thing is on the trial rifts I never make it past 27.
