@Flyingtoo - Not going to requote your post, but there are a few points I would like to make:
Of course he's planning on standing in shit, avoidance is freaking broken. The idea is to overcome the damage caused by those effects with life regeneration, which comes from multiple sources. If you're having trouble surviving, you need to generate more life. Revenge is a huge source of regeneration, especially when surrounded by champions or minions. Even if there are no normal monsters, you're typically surrounded by 3 or 4 champions or rare/minion monsters, so every third hit you take, your revenge goes off and heals 15-20% of your total life. Basically, your healing increases the more things that are trying to kill you.
If you're using frenzy, why in the world would you want to knock enemies back? You advised against revenge, but it knocking back would also be countereffective with using revenge.
You mention sprint as an evasion tool... you did notice that he's using Demonbuddy, right? And making a botting char? Sprint is just for running across the map faster, and chasing down those aggravating ranged champ archers and retching things that like to back off. I timed runs through act 1 a few days ago to try and judge whether sprint/marathon is worth having, and it lowers my run times by about 20%. With the same number of elites killed, that's 25% more profit overall. Sprint/marathon should be the absolute last thing you ditch for survivability, and if you're using something like Profile Switcher, it may even be worth a few deaths.
