I agree with you that kick's profiles are not any better or worse than Cava's or Brodieman's. Which says something about the quality of the last 2: written by volunteers, they offer the same quality as the official profiles. They certainly deserve our respect. And as for Kick, i am really sorry for him: becoming a member of the the team apparently did not bring any substantial amelioration to his profiles. I hope he is is being otherwise compensated in the form of a good salary.I was trying to do 1 -5 with Cava profiles and mesh issues all over the place, so its not kicks or cava's profile fault its honorbuddy mesh system that is messed up atm.
The issues are mostly mesh related. After the 5.4 patch, a fix was implemented into HB that shifted everything over just ever so slightly that way....or was it that way...either way! The issue is that this fix was MEANT to help with issues of wall hugging and falling off of cliffs. It worked in several areas of Pandaria, however in a lot of the other areas, some...tweaks are necessary. If one were to go through and report at least 1 or 2 of the stuck issues, it would be very helpful indeed. There's a forum dedicated to Nav issues alone. The profiles are near sound, its the mesh that isn't always up to par. And that's not to knock the HB mesh guys, but a huge change like that of 5.4's update is going to take tweaking to fix, just like everything else that was affected and needed to be changed by profile writers.
So... Basicly... They "fixed" something and made it worse than before.
No...they fixed something that's been bugging people for a long time, and now the aftermath needs to be dealt with. It's not broken, like everything else it needs maintenance at regular intervals, or it ends up broken.
I always assumed a part of being a developer is that when you change something... you beta test if it works togheter with the rest of code?
I guess Bosslands devs forgot a step and went straight to Release?
