I talked over AIM to this very nice person after I posted a ad on craigslist about my account. They said they would pay first and then I could send them the account info. I was so happy, I sent them an email thanking them and for them to have a good day. They paid right away, so I gave them the info. I wake up the next morning find out that the payments have been on hold. What should I do? Should I call blizzard and try to get my account back? Because I can tell they haven't logged onto the account because the armory says.

If the payments are on hold does that mean they tried to chargeback the money? Are they trying to scam me?

just wait and see what happens, if you loose the money, call blizzard and recover the account.

alright, thanks. I am just worried though because this account was my main account. It has over 102,000 gold... almost all the achievments in the game on my paladin. Also has shadows edge and full wrathful gear. I didn't sell it for chump change.

Was the payment on paypal? If so you could see the reason for the payment on hold.

dude thats a scam.. there is no reason a transfer should be on hold. they stole someone CC/ Paypal and sent money to you.. tried to do the same to me, but i instead said i have to wait til i transfer the money to my bank account and what do you know. they money went on hold so i never gave the guy any info.. go ahead and call blizz and say someone somehow changed your password.

next time if you are going to sell on C List you should ask for CAsh in the hand.....

alright, thanks i guess i will contact blizzard. But what happens if I do get the money though? Paypal is reviewing the case it says.

well you have already given the guy the info to the account inwhich he has already changed it... Screw him... Trust me you will not get the money. just get on the phone with blizzard ( 1-1:30 hour wait) and then tell them someone changed your login and password.. you might want to go ahead and make a new Email address and a Bnet account so they can transfer your account to the new one..

Alright thanks man, I really appreciate it. I can't believe people are such A$$es. I trusted that guy, he seemed legit.

but be careful some people will try to send you a email saying "you got money" when actually you don't. if you want to sell search google for sellers . they'll buy but they wont give ya much

Also how do I go about transfering battle.net accounts?

you have to call Blizz and they will transfer it after they have determined someone changed your info ( after you given them secret answer and so on )

hmm, well the person who bought the account has my Username, Password, and Secret answer. Anyway to prevent a tug - o - war with this person?

the person can only change your login and password. he can not change your secret answer to the account. when you call blizz and give them your Orginal Account name ( before bnet) they will transfer to new account..

They are scamming you.

Nobody pays without seeing the account first.
