Hello everyone, we wanted to let you know that we will be performing scheduled maintenance for four hours on Tuesday, December 18th, 2012 from 2AM CST (12AM PST/3AM EST/8AM GMT/9AM CET/7PM AEDT) until 6AM CST (4AM PST/7AM EST/12PM GMT/1PM CET/11PM AEDT). All game servers and SWTOR.com will be offline during this period. This maintenance is expected to take no more than four hours, but could be extended.
This weekly maintenance is done in order to make general improvements and to check performance of the game so that we can continue to provide a consistent, quality experience. Quite often (but not always) after a maintenance period there will be a patch to download. After the maintenance, please login via the launcher to download the latest patch. If your launcher was open during the maintenance, you must close and reopen it for a fresh login.

They almost always update their client when they do this (if nothing else to randomize the memory locations) so BW will be down until the gang gets an update.

Please don't ask *when* we'll get the update. The only answer we'd get is "when it is done".

I was holding out some small hope they might just run maintenance without patching (as they did a few weeks ago), but my game client is in the process of downloading files as I write. :(

So, confirmed, another update required.

They have. They never really say "we're on it". We usually just get an updated version within a day or so and then they tell us.

Ah, but they do. Tony usually likes to let us know they're "on it" whenever he can. A few recent threads where he did this are here, here, and here.

Anyhow, fingers crossed.

Recent, sure, but that's not necessarily typical. That's also been after they've been pestered about it for a while.

While they haven't dropped BW, we just need to except that getting an update out after a patch isn't anywhere near a high priority, especially since the main Dev they have for it is off working another bot. So we're going to have to get used to it being 2-3 days for an update.

Not really, we still aim for a day.

Nothing appear to have been done yet, another day passing without any indication as to the update fix on the bot since tuesday.
they dont like to say what they are doing? its a good way to keep the customer's in the dark as it seems they have more important
things to do,.. not a problem, back to grinding the good old fashoin way :)

I doubt anyone would understand the technical babel and I think they can't tell what else they need to fix until they get to it; so a projection on how long it will take would be impossible.

And they're programmers not customer service personal; tony's the only customer service employee and I doubt he knows what's going on in the code either.

Just asking to be kept informed on whats going on :) thanks for your reply have a great day!

We need a bit more time to sort things out; should be fixed tomorrow.

umm, someone pushed a new version. Is it tomorrow already? :P

edit: I think the new version was an accident, probably meant to be an internal upload for dev
