HB wont start up

Hi i looking for some help with HB not starting, this happened last week as well and after some forum searching i discovered that my best bet was to un-install everything and then re-install it again, this worked and i was able to use HB again until a few days ago, i cannot even login into HB, as soon as i start the application i get a honorbuddy has stopped working message, im using windows 7 home professional if that helps. I have also uninstalled and installed everything again and downloaded the latest HB installer. I have double checked that my anti virus hasn't removed any files it feels may be harmful and i still get the same message.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I cannot provide a log because it does not create one i don't even get the option to login into HB with my key

Go to Programs and Features, in your windows Control panel.
Look for:
- microsoft .net framework 4 client profile
- microsoft .net framework 4 extended
- microsoft .net framework 4.5.x
- microsoft visual c++ 2010 x86 redistributable
- microsoft visual c++ 2012 x86 redistributable


and Uninstall them if they are installed.
Restart your PC.

Download Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 (Web Installer) for Windows Vista SP2, Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 SP2 Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and Windows Server 2012 from Official Microsoft Download Center


run both as administrator.
after the both installs are completed, run windows update. And install all updates for .net & c++
Then do one last restart.

Sorry for let reply i have been away i have just done all of that and still i get a HB not working correctly message before i am even able to place my key into HB.

Hi, I am having the same issue, the honorbuddy window does not even pop up to enter the honorbuddy key-code, i opened the honorbuddy.exe as an admin and nothing happened. what should I do?

It's all good now, I can start my honorbuddy window and able to key-in my code, it's the anti-virus (auto-protect) that's in the way. thanks.
