So I started botting while back in 2014, and I liked it, I could devellop my own routes an sush, great times ! I'm not the kind of 24/7 botter, I use it only to farm in the background when i'm doing something else on the computer. I've never been banned or suspended . I came back to the forum to see the progress of the bot, and it seems that there is wayyy more ban that it used to be ... So i'm a little worried to use it again on my old (pre-BC) account ... Any of you guys can give me any feedback ? would I get banned even tho i can answer or react while the bot is active ? Or will I get banned because it's detected ?

If you hit the go button for botting once you will be banned in my oppinion.

It is clear to me Blizz has stepped up its efforts..If you have an acount you really cherish please dont attach it.

However, if you love to bot like I do, buy another account and use and abuse it with the many great CR's and profiles on the buddy store like I do.

BUT know that it is a doomed account and will be hammered at some point.



Also know that any interaction with this throw away account with your main account will implicate the main account and they will ban both.

Be smart and use a busy guild of your own to launder the gold

I don't know about what the others talk about. Maybe blizzard have changed their way recently but I've botted since Glider(vanilla) and I have only once got banned. This was during the banwave earlier this year. I have used various bots on all my accounts and the most precious account have never got a single scratch on it. However, I only bot on this account whilst I am not AFK. My other gathering accounts I can have 24/7 for weeks or months and they will not get banned.

The one that got banned I kind of saw that coming because I was using a fairly short profile for probably a month without logging out. I use autologin + schedule if needed.

From now on I will start using schedule to limit my gathering bots to ~8-10 hours per day. You can still make a ton of gold. I got way above my head with the months of non-stop botting and nobody should expect to not get banned with that. However, the "one time botted will get banned" I don't quite agree with unless there's been some recent changes.

I couldn't agree more with the "NEVER bot on your precious account"! You will regret all the extra gold you made. It's worth the extra euro for one more account and since it pays for itself, it's a one time payment. From there, the bot accounts will make enough gold to pay for both their and your gametime.

So it seems that everyone agree that I should buy a new account and start botting on it. But i was wondering, can I use the "recruit a friend" features to link my main account to the bot and, is sending items / gold to my main account from the bot one would bee too abvious ? Is the ban only account related , or IP ( like they can check which account have been used on this IP ).
Sorry for all thoose questions but i'm not realy aware of all this things.
