HB vs GB

Other than flying... what's the benefit of using GB?

Seems like HB can grind and farm, use mining and herb profiles, etc.

I dont know much about GB because i've been using HB a lot - so what's the reason to buy it? Can someone share some more info about how the two are different and the benefits/cons of each so that some of us that are on the fence about getting GB that already own HB can make an educated decision?

The main thing for GB is flying, so that you can harvest in Northrend. That is my main usage, starting to use HB now for some leveling, but have been using GB for months farming for gold.
 
HB is not really meant for farming, and is quite a bit slower than GB in that regard. HB is used for honor and npc killing, some use it to skill up gathering professions as well. GB is solely for gathering, and is generally 10-20 times faster with a flying mount and good profiles.

So, GB is really more oriented for a lev 80 char then.

On average with a good profile and server info - what's the gold per day average of a GB versus HB profile?

Sounds like the justification for GB is just raw material gathering? Seems odd when HB is cheaper in the long run and a lot more dynamic.

Yes but HB doesn't farm as much gold as GB and some people here sell gold so GB makes more cash for them... and tbh HB sucks for gathering since it will run around attacking and stuff while GB flyes over everything and just lands to mine/herb and lifts off wich makes it a million times faster

So if you need gold or want to sell some buy GB
